A lovely old-style guesthouse in a narrow alley just off Tunxi's Old Street. Impressive reception area, comfortable room, within steps of lots of places to eat. Not luxurious, but very atmospheric. I really liked it.

Rooms on the upper floor are a little more troublesome to access especially if you have large bulky luggages as the stairs are rather steep and narrow. But this is part of the traditional house design and should be expected, and the hosts very kindly helped us to wrangle our luggages upstairs. Request for a room on the first floor if you prefer not to have to deal with this issue.

Beautiful traditional Hui style hotel located in a little alley near the Tunxi old street where we got our delicious meals and lots of traditional snacks. Facilities were comfortable and hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

The bed was very hard and hurt my back. Also, the place is very drafty. If you go in the fall, bring thermals.

Lighting in room wasn’t great and room wasn’t serviced during our two night stay so we had damp towels and a full bin. Not major problems.

Excellent location just off Old Street - once you’d found it (it’s up an alleyway). Lovely building. Friendly staff.

It was a pleasure to stay in a hotel with Hui architecture. It is located in an alley that leads to the Tunxi Old Street so shopping is very convenient. On one end of Tunxi Old Street are many restaurants and on the other end is a bridge that leads to Liyang Old Street. The room we stayed in was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean with strong shower. Staff was friendly and helpful.

A minor issue was that I didn't want to spend my cash and the only electronical payment option that worked added a 3% fee on the transaction. Not their fault, but it is worth mentioning.

Everything. They do whatever ia needed to help evwn without speaking a word of English. So good that I am staying again tomorrow.

The property is an old Hui style building. It has its charm and it is one of the reason we picked this facility. However the first floor room is extremely damp and it affected our bedding and towers. The owner told us to turn on the dehumidifier but it appears not working. The worse thing is the bathroom door. It couldn’t close. So even we are husband and wife team, it felt very awkward to use the bathroom.

The property is located right in the Tunxi Old Street but in an alley. So it is convenient but quiet. The girl/woman works in this place is very helpful. She went out of her way to direct me when I tried to find a food massage place after 2 days hike in Huangshan.

Very clean and super helpful and friendly host. He helped us with our luggages and showed us where to find food at night. He also helped to arrange transportation for us to go around huangshan. The house is very clean despite it being a historical place. Very authentic chinese house. Thank you!

It was difficult for us to find the hotel. We put the English name in google map and it took us to the wrong place. We put in the address in English and that also took us to the wrong place. We finally found the place when we used our taxi driver's map app and put in the name of the hotel in Chinese. The room was much smaller than expected and I felt cramped up. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was not serviced and it needed to be.

The receptionist was very helpful and helped me take my broken shoes to the repair shop. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff was very friendly.

The hotel is full of old world charm and detail and was a fantastic experience; at the same time it was extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and assisted us with several issues we had navigating transportation as well as payment given we are foreigners and could not use american credit cards. We are from warm-weather climates and were a little nervous if the old structure could warm up enough at night (about 20s Fahrenheit which was cold to us!) but they have heaters and AC going and thick warm blankets. Very cozy! Delicious local wanton restaurant just a few steps away on the main street, where we had a fantastic breakfast.
