Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe booked two rooms and both of them smelled bad. I think it's probably due to the road construction which caused that bad odor in the rooms.
Excellent location, near the metro station (dachaishi), the staff tried their best to meet our needs when we had problems with our rooms. The rooms were clean. The hotel offers also luggage deposit for tourists.

United KingdomThe bed is a little hard. The rooms are not sound proof. I could hear the laundry going off at all hours , and people returning to their room late. Wish I could fill up my water bottle rather than take another plastic bottle.
I can't explain how good the location is! It's close to so many good local eats, and you're out of the main area , so it feels calmer, but then you walk a few minutes and you're at the subway ready to tackle the crowds. Only a few minutes on the subway to the Muslim quarter. The room was spacious and clean, shower powerful and bed large. Free water. No massive faults to the hotel at all. So many choices of lighting!

SingaporeThe room had smell of lingering cigerette smoke. The room could come with some disposable stirrers so that guests can make coffee /tea when needed. The surrounding areas outside the hotel was under some renovation and doesn't make the place look appealing. But the stay remained comfortable and decent.
Staff tried to help address my needs as far as possible. The room had smell of lingering cigerette smoke, staff tried to help change a new room for me, but it was too much of a hassle subsequently and I did not request for it. The free laundry service was excellent. I love the location: it was within 5-10 minutes of walk away from the metro station which served Line 4 and Line 6.

AustraliaThere were some constructions going on and the rooms were smaller in comparison to other cities from the same hotel chain. I was expecting bigger rooms I suppose but the staff showed me different rooms and it turns out I was already given the largest. It was just a gap in expectation. There was seating or furniture that were stained (maybe clean but with old stains) - I didn’t use them.
Good value for money. Close to a train station. Staff were helpful enough.

MontenegroThe street in front of the hotel was being reconstructed so it was a bit difficult to find. Also, water was turned off for 12 hours for the same reason, but the hotel notified the guests in advance so I prepared reserves beforehand
Very nice hotel, good room and location near the subway. Staff did not speak English, but it was no issue for me as I can speak chinese.

Hotel was nice! Staff super friendly, multiple shops nearby to grab breakfast/coffee/fruit. It was however very hard to find. At Dachaishi station, take exit C, don't cross the big road and take East 4th Alley. It's all the way at the end on the righthand side. You can also do laundry for free which was a great plus!

CanadaTiny elevator. The hotel is tucked away in a small street making it hard for cars to do pick up/drop off so you have to walk to a Main Street for that. I also found the staff to be ok. They answered my questions but were often unclear and hard to follow. I’ve had better experiences at other hotels for similar pricing in China.
The room was clean but small. The hotel had many common areas and amenities that we didn’t have time to use but appreciated having available. The location is good and central.

United StatesOur toilet leaked around the seal and we had to leave a hand towel around it so it wasn’t running across our whole bathroom. We didn’t even tell the hotel about the leak because it was evident it has been chalked already.
The location was fine except there was some major street work that created a hazard. Not the hotel’s fault, but made the walk right by the hotel a bit hazardous.
