The breakfast could have been better. You get two options, the chinese one was not bad, though the beef patty was a bit greasy, but if by any chance you order the western one, they'll just bring you a McDonalds bag.

The hotel itself is really nice and well decorated, with extra atention to the details (like the room numbers on traditional roof tiles or the room key cards made out of wood). Also the staff was really really helpful and tried to assist us in anyway they could.

At the beginning we went to the wrong hotel because they have a similar name. Double check the address of this hotel if you use Apple Maps.

The shower is top tier. The room is clean and spacious. We used the free laundry and was perfect! The staff is really kind and they helped us find a good restaurant. We followed their recommendations and we ended up in a really delicious restaurant.

They have about 8 exotic cats, but locked up in these very tiny enclosed glass column like cages. I tried to explain to the receptionist that American and European would look at this as animal abuse but what I said did not register with her. Here is my reocommendation again : Have 2 or 3 cats roam around the lobby freely and the tourists will love it.

Excellent location. Right by the Xian wall, morning markets & nightlife right outside the door. The garden was beautiful and clearly well loved by the staff. Laundry service is limited and excludes underwear/socks/shoes.

The hotel is in a fantastic location directly opposite the old city wall. We found it a little confusing on arrival as there is no obvious name outside and the front looks slightly different than in the pictures. As two British travellers with no Mandarin language skills we could communicate with staff very easily through translation apps. Our room was on the top floor which we would recommend as that allowed us to see the top of the wall and beyond, rooms lower down seemed likely to just have a view of the wall. Room was clean and spacious, although lacked wardrobe space. The shower appears to leak under the floor and it and the toilet had confusing controls. Appreciated the free self service washing machine and dryer.

Breakfast wasn't included and it was difficult for us to find a sit-down breakfast - we were sent to the nearby corner, where there are many stalls with long queues of people buying traditional Chinese breakfasts, but wasn't quite what we were looking for. The Bengal cats in the lobby are beautiful, but we felt sad for them in the glass cages all day. We did ask them to let one out to cuddle and play with one evening, which we did, and were able to feed them treats. But I hope they are out more than that for exercise and play.

We decided to arrive a day early and the staff was able to find us a room, with a nice discount, that was great for our family. The following day we moved to the room we had booked, which was amazing - the family room with private courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful and has a seating area overlooking the wall. Perfect. Staff is very accomodating, friendly and helpful, and worked with translator apps to bridge the language barrier. Location is amazing - right next to the wall, and a few blocks from the South Gate.
