How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe service is top notch. Very helpful, polite and warm. The bed is comfy. Do not have the mountain view in the room but you can just head out to see the view. Amazing view 😊
Although the bathtub is clean but the shower toilet is a little dirty for me. So I didn't use the shower toilet at all, I showered at the bathtub.

Verified reviewThe personal was very nice, they brought me tea and snacks. The room was not to small and the hotel is directly opposit the Huaquing Palace at the top of the mall. The terracotta army is also reachable by bus, for me it was a great stay. The hotel was easily reachable by line 9.

Authentic Chinese hospitality, the place was clean and cozy, great air conditioning and the location is perfect to visit the Terracotta Warriors (5 min with the car). Around there area there are plenty of restaurants and shops, and I really had a great time. The hosts are very kind and always available in case of need, suggestions and recommendations. They also cook traditional Chinese breakfast every morning. I could not have asked for more!! Hopefully I will come back!! Thanks for the amazing stay 🙏❤️

Verified reviewWe were impressed with how pretty, modern & new our room was - it included a self flushing toilet, good rain shower, lots of appropriate lightings. Importantly, the Hotel's mattress & pillows of 2 types, one being memory foam, were top notch to deliver a restful sleep in a pleasantly quiet room. And it's location at the mall above the metro train station, just a street across from HuaQing Palace really made catching the Chang Hen Ge night performance a breeze. Recommended :-)
Tricky to leave early for Terracotta Warrior before the mall is open, but just ask reception :-)

Verified reviewThe staff were so lovely and made us feel super welcome, they went out of our way to make us feel at home. They gave us a snack and hot tea platter and took us to the balcony in private where we watched the lights and fireworks from the song of everlasting sorrow show right across the road. The rooms were beautiful and clean, will absolutely come back again in the future and will recommend to anyone wanting to visit Xi’an. They also have the cutest, sweetest kitten!!!
It is on the third floor of a shopping mall which is actually quite convenient, however the elevators were monitored by security and staff from the hotpot restaurant upstairs who followed us every time we went upstairs. The street outside was also full of vendors targeting tourists, as it is a popular tourist spot.

The location is great, but it is inside a shopping mall, 3rd floor with elevator. Not a problem but you have to know that when you arrive. The owner is very helpful with everything you need.

Verified review🙂 It was super comfortable and felt luxurious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable! The bath and shower were great! There are nearby restaurants and markets, etc. Terracotta Warriors are about 8 km away. 🙁 It lacks a balcony and when the curtains are open, the people in the nearby hair salon can see in. There is also no fridge, but they said they will install one.

It was a little tricky to find. It’s on the third floor of a shopping mall. Rose was super helpful though, we called her and she guided our taxi driver and came down to meet us.
