Reviews of Xiamen 12 Seaside Hotel

The hotel is very good and the location is really close to the beach. The host of the hotel is amazing, she helped me more than expected with taxis, power bank, recommandations of places to visit and to eat. She really made a difference in this trip and we can see she does that because she loves it. I recommend this hotel without any doubt!

Amazing value for money. The couple running the hotel were absolute gems. They went out of their way to help. The lady is an English major and this was obvious as her English language skills are brilliant I felt really pampered on my trip. They upgraded my room for free and got me a lovely surprise beverage which I enjoyed immensely. It’s close to the beach. I also highly recommend the Taiwanese so-called breakfast and lunch place. Great soy milk!!

I guess I wasn’t there long enough to quite get my head around the neighborhood. This is on me though. I had hoped there would be sunshine on yhe nearby beach in the evening, but there wasn’t. Bad research on my part though.

The owners are absolutely brilliant, they couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and informative. The location was great and the facilities were good but the winning feature is the owners and their amazing rapport and hospitality.

Very reasonable price with clean room. Many restaurants around the hotel. Ocean is 7 minutes walk. Ellie was very helpful to call taxi even when I was at the airport, or guiding to restaurants, or even ordering menu for the first night. I enjoyed staying there (Xitouxia), away from noisy urban area.

There may be small issues, but it will be nothing compared with the benefits I could have from the hotel. You may as well have e-sim in your phone, so that you can ask help when you are away from the hotel!

Ellie was very helpful during my stay even before I arrived at the hotel. The room was clean and I even got a free upgrade.

Ellie is the perfect go-to person for someone who were first timers in Xiamen like us -- hardly any difficulty in communicating. She is very helpful in person and online, and quite dependable. Location of the hotel is accessible, quite near a bus station that we used to go to Gulangyu ferry terminal, and accesses to the beach. She has some good recommendations too.

Amazing find! Beautiful little hotel, I was even upgraded for free to a larger room by the manager. The manager is suuuper helpful, with a bunch of tips that she sent me on WhatsApp and even helped organize some dinner/online order and I was able to do a laundry. It is super close to the beach which is lovely, also walking distance from the Xiamen mountain to sea trail which is a gorgeous walk. It is in a spot with many small restaurants nearby, so it’s nice and lovely but not overwhelming busy. For me it was the perfect spot to explore the seaside of Xiamen, without even needing to head to the “big city”!

Nothing! Only if you have troubles walking it’s good to know that the property has stairs with no elevator. But it truly was perfect, especially with the super helpful staff and amenities.

Location was great!! 10-minute walk to the beach and accessible to the Sea and Mountain Trail. Ellie and Henry were both accessible and helpful in all matters. Henry took me up to the roof to show me the way to the trail using his drone! They ordered books for me and recommended a good place to eat.

Little bit further from the city center around 25min drive to the center. But if you are looking for a more quite neighbourhood, this is the place.

The staff and location - fabulous! Ellie and Henry were very welcoming, offering warm and friendly hospitality and were both very helpful answering questions, assisting me in getting around Xiamen. Thye did their utmost to make sure I had a comfortable and enjoyable trip to Xiamen. Bernadette

Staff is very helpful and friendly, also they speak very good English. They spontaneusly proposed to upgrade my room with no extra costs. The location is also very accessible, nearby there are plenty of restaurants where to eat. Very recommended

My trip to Xiamen was one of the best trips I have had in a long time, thanks in large part to my stay at the 12 Seaside Hotel. It was my first trip to China and everything was great. A huge thanks to the owners of the hotel for being so welcoming and helping with everything from getting around the city to recommendation on local food. I am looking forward to visiting this wonderful place Xiamen and of course staying at the 12 Seaside Hotel.

The service is beyond standard expectation, as the couple owners are both very attentive and helpful. With every questions asked, they will provide very details answers, even sent the details to your phone so that you can refer to throughout your journey. The couple also allowed us to choose the room of our preference and helped us with our luggages up the stairs. The restaurants / shops generally close early in the evening, thus making it challenging to find supper around the hotel but owner was so helpful to even walked us till the only eatery which was open. Such big help. Kudos!

The space of toilet / bathroom is very small, where there's not much space to put our cosmetic or such. The whole room has only one small mirror in the bathroom (with 2 girls, this may not be sufficient, hahaha)
