Just to add to our earlier review, if you want to experience true China village life, be on the edge of the forest at one with nature, then this is the place for you.

Longines the owner was so so helpful.....no need to book a tour, just book a few nights here and Longines will package everything up and drop you at the forest gate with everything mapped out. The accommodation is high standard, very clean, great breakfast. You can pay extra for dinner which is cooked by Papa. The food was delicious and we devoured it each evening after exploring the incredible forest. The accommotion is 5 mins from West gate and you will avoid massive queues coming in at the east gate. Our stay was truly unforgettable (we stayed 4 nights in total). I 100% recommend this accommodation and Longines and her family as your hosts.

The pool was not operational. If you particularly care about this, it may be good to write the owners to make sure they have it up and running before your stay.

The host is very nice and helpful. The homemade meals were really good as well. The room is comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The hotel is located in a cute and beautiful small village.

As long as you pay the hotel for your pickup, getting there is easy. Both Amap and DiDi can't find the correct road to this place - our DiDi ride was sent into a corn field. This is not the fault of the hotel, but a challenge for those staying here.

The helpfulness of the owner already started days before our arrival. Make sure you have WeChat before you get here, and that you have a decent translation app. English is poorly spoken here, but the helpfulness is beyond anything I have ever expected. Also the room is amazing.

We had an excellent stay at the Yang Family Courtyard Homestay. Our host, Longjing, was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Initially, we weren’t sure if staying near the west entrance of the park was a good idea, as we couldn’t find much information online—being the less touristic entrance. In the end, it turned out to be a great choice and very convenient. The best part of entering from the west entrance is that you go against the flow of the crowds. We were there during high season and saw long queues forming in the direction of the east entrance. Longjing helped us book everything in advance, suggested the routes we could take for the next day, and drove us to the west entrance every morning (just 5 minutes by car) and picked us up every afternoon to return to the homestay. Her help was invaluable, as most of the information available is in Chinese. The homestay is very new and well-equipped. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable. Since the homestay is located away from big cities or towns, they offer the option to have dinner on-site. The ingredients are sourced directly from their garden, and the chef’s cooking is absolutely amazing! We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic place! The hotel is family-run,the hosts are very helpful (they will help you plan your visit to ZhangJiajie park and around and even book for you tickets). The location is very convenient,only few minutes away from the west entrance of the park, in a quiet open place. The bedroom was large, clean and well-equiped. We recommend the place and would definitely book again if we were to come back to Zhangjiajie !

I am very satisfied with the accommodation experience. We could communicate with Long Jing about the daily itinerary every day. She picked us up and dropped us off every day. We had a pleasant stay for many days. There was also a free laundry room and freshly ground coffee. For the first time, we had freshly ground coffee which I love. The breakfast was very abundant and different every day. We chose to have dinner at the guesthouse every night because we were too hungry at noon in the scenic area. I am very happy and hope to be able to help you.

It's so delightful to live here. I'm going to recommend this place to my American friends. During the day, when the weather is fine, I even saw several little monkeys playing on the opposite side of the stream. I also tried fishing in the stream of the guesthouse, but I didn't succeed. Long Jing, the owner, is really an interesting girl. We became good friends. For the first time in a hotel in China, I had pure American coffee. Long Jing carefully ground two cups of American coffee for me. Of course, I now prefer Chinese cuisine more. Here, I also had Zhangjiajie tea. It's very friendly to the throat and inflammation. At night, I can sit in the small courtyard and drink beer and have Chinese food. There's no charge for drinking Chinese tea. The owner said that many friends haven't tried it before. Next time, friends who come here must give it a try.

This Chinese homestay was recommended by my friend because he walked the whole area and it's the closest entrance gate to Avatar. We chose the paid service from the airport to the scenic spot. The boss sent us to the gate of the scenic spot every day and picked us up for free at the gate of the scenic spot at night. After tasting Chinese food, I found that I love Chinese food.

The small courtyard is very beautiful, and I love everything here. There are beautiful mountains, warm people, mischievous monkeys, personally picked vegetables, lying on the rocking chair in the courtyard at night watching the stars, with a gentle breeze, frogs chirping, cicadas chirping, and enjoying the natural scenery of the countryside. The elegant lifestyle of Chinese people pursues a leisurely and refined attitude towards life, and I am a souvenir on my travel journey.

I was delighted during my trip to China, staying at the Yang's Courtyard. It was truly a paradise of Chinese poets. The breakfast was very hearty, and the owner even prepared some Chinese snacks for us to enjoy at the scenic spot for lunch. The dinner was the most delicious Chinese cuisine we have ever tasted, and we also enjoyed some Chinese tea. Participating in the picking activity was simply a wonderful experience. This trip was truly marvelous.
