Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceThe breakfast was OK not great (coffee is horrendous however), depends of the dishes some were quite good some meh Heavy smoke odor the first day, there was a no-smoke sign but it does not seem to be real because there was an ashtray. The hotel seem to have some issues : with TV (even the one in breakfast room was freezing) and maybe some stains here and here. I probably overpaid it by a wide margin (seeing competitor platform price), but this is my fault. For the real price, the hotel is way more consistent.
The location was great, quite close to the most popular areas : park, tower, … (you must walk 15 min though by the river) The bed was one of the most comfortable I slept in The room was overall nice with separated WC. Convenient laundry room Good restaurants nearby Very early check in after a very early arrival at airport, thanks (but see the negative for the price)

AustraliaWe stood at the reception counter at 12am to check in. The customer service girl, continued to serve at least 6 other customers whilst taking her time to check us in. Whilst waiting, the rain was coming in through the ceiling. It did not feel safe with the caliber of people coming out of the hotel. (I wouldn't take kids there) The so called convenient store was a few shelves of random stuff in reception. The rooms are small, not particularly clean. We checked out after 1 night and booked elsewhere. A complete disappointment. Would not recommend.
There was nothing to like. Terrible customer service on check in. Poor amenities, (water coming in from the roof). Location was NOT easily accessible, nor was it close to the Canton Fair location. The whole rating on this hotel is completely wrong.

South AfricaThree trips down to reception to get my faulty room card replaced. The room floor was dirty and had to be sweeped. On my second day, I asked to be moved to a higher floor as the second floor had a lot of street noise. They changed my room to the 9th floor, which was great. The next morning I realised that I had left my belt in the previous room. The belt had disappeared. Not good. The walls are thin and I could hear the neighbours' TV until midnight.
One of the reception people could speak english well. They have a nice laundry with good machines. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was good.
