We had a wonderful stay at Ancient Garden Hotel. Everybody in the Hotel was extremly friendly and supportive. Great Pool and beautiful Garden. The Hotel is in traditional Houses in a very nice scenery, the Room was nice with a very modern bathroom. Sophia organized a tour for us, which was amazing. The Perfect relaxing stay for us. We also had Great Dinner at the Restaurant with Great view to the Mountains. Great hospitality, very Open and very friendly.

Really lovely venue, built in traditional style with beautiful landscaped gardens and a gorgeous pool. It felt like an oasis of calm and peace. My room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were also all very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. I would definitely come here again - in fact I looked into extending my stay but couldn't make that work! Highly recommended.

This hotel is absolutely charming—a true garden oasis tucked away in a small village near the river, offering easy access to a variety of river activities. My room was both beautiful and tranquil, the perfect place to relax. The staff, Julia and Sophia, were incredibly warm and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They helped arrange a scenic bike ride along the river and a private Tai Chi class—both experiences were fantastic. If I ever return to Yangshuo, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful oasis in Yangshuo! It was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn’t have been happier. The buildings and gardens are just gorgeous. It’s perfectly located for exploring the area and the staff are just amazing! I arrived with a broken ankle and I was somewhat limited in what I could do. The staff were just fantastic. Always looking out for me and they were incredibly helpful booking activities, drivers etc. Julia and Sophia and their team speak excellent English and really made us feel at home. It’s a truly peaceful environment, restful and surrounded by organic vegetable gardens and natural landscapes.

From the location it is hard to get to other places by walking.

Wonderful staff - very warm and welcoming; they went out of their way to arrange things for us and celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Quiet and peaceful property if you want a retreat setting with traditional style buildings. Very clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. Used the hotel bikes for a lovely scenic ride by the river.

Very beautiful, well preserved boutique hotel with very beautiful garden. We stayed in Villa A and the view is gorgeous. We love to take hours just sit, having a tea with beautiful view everyday! The staff also really attentive and very nice. They helped us to organize our day in yangshuo, including booking the ticket, driver, etc. Dont skip to bicycling alongside yulong river, the bike is free to rent from hotel and the view is amazing. Their restaurant also serve very delicious authentic food. If their resturant is close, just go Pica Pica, 2mins walking also very good. West street just 10mins with didi!

Nothing - great stay!

The hotel was located slightly away from the center of town, which is nice if you're looking for some calm and quiet. The pool was very nice so was the garden as well as the rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and helped us plan our itinerary in Yangshuo. Would absolutely recommend!

The hotel was very easy to communicate with via email (in english) prior to our arrival and suggested multiple excursions/transportation for us that we were able to easily customize to our needs. The price of this was very fair. We also enjoyed using their bikes to explore the nearby area. The staff at the hotel were all warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The hotel grounds are even better than the photos suggest. It was very peaceful and beautiful. We ate every breakfast at the hotel and a few dinners and the food blew us away. We will be thinking about some of those meals for a long time!

There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel. It was amazing.

This hotel is beautiful and we loved staying here as a special treat for my birthday. The garden view deluxe villa was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds and gardens are stunning and very photogenic. We borrowed the hotel bicycles to cycle along the Yulong river path, which was scenic and lovely. I had a pleasant swim in the pool, a private Tai Chi lesson arranged by the hotel staff and we had some fun dressing up in the costumes provided for free use of guests. Sophia and her team of staff were kind, helpful, friendly and all spoke an excellent level of English. The breakfast and dinner was delicious and they were able to provide me with vegan options.

This hotel is GREAT! Wonderful, quiet location in Jima, close to the Yulong river and 10 minutes by car to Yangshuo. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. They helped me with all the activities I wanted to do in the area and made sure all things were taken care of. The garden is extremely peaceful and the facility is very clean. The room was wonderful in traditional style too. Everything is exactly right! I felt completely refreshed after 4 nights. Thank you staff!

Wow. Where do we begin? We absolutely loved our stay here! We were greeted by warm smiles on our arrival and the hospitality that followed was unmatched. The staff at Ancient Garden were incredibly helpful. They recommended, organised and booked most of our activities in Yangshuo. One evening, as we were heading out, they lent me a shawl, worried I would be too cold without it. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The beds were super comfy. Location is great, amenities are great, lovingly and tastefully restored beautiful old buildings, and wonderful hosts. This is really an oasis of calm in Guilin. We will be back!

Yangshuo is one of those natural wonders of the world that is already breathtaking. Imagine, value-adding to the visual experience with a superbly tranquil stay at an accommodation that soothes the soul… That is exactly what we found at Yangshuo Garden Boutique Hotel. Situated in Jima Village, a short ride from Yangshuo, the Garden Boutique Hotel is nestled in Karst country, with traditional buildings dotted serenely throughout landscaped gardens. A gymnasium, restaurant, swimming pool, teahouse, and library, further adds to the appeal. We stayed in the Deluxe Villa with Mountain View - A. It is very private with a large king bed, bath and shower, large timber deck balcony, reverse-cycle air conditioning, electric blanket, mini fridge, coffee and tea. However, more than the super accommodation, it was the class of service that impressed us the most! Sophia, Julia and the rest of the team were nothing short of superb. We were totally enaomoured with the warmth and caring on display from all staff. While using the term “home away from home” is often overused, this is certainly not an exaggeration when applied to the Garden Boutique Hotel. This is certainly the most warm reception we have ever received from any accommodation anywhere in the world. I have no hesitation in recommending the Garden Boutique Hotel as exceptional, I would also not hesitate in recommending Sophia and her team in curating a super itinerary for any duration of stay in Yangshuo.

Difficult to find the area, and a bit touristy. Breakfast can have a bit more choices.

The place is really beautiful inside a mountain forest... so green and clean. The wooden structures had a traditional chinese vibe, it is so unique. The rooms were big with great lighting and the facilities were great. Staffs Sarah & Sophia were friendly, kind & considerate.
