How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe staff were exceptional. Went out of their way to ensure we got to see things. Ensured we got from Guilin and back to get our train back to Hong Kong. Booked our events. Nothing was to much trouble for Diane and her team. The outlook from the rooms is beautiful. Great location.
Nothing really. Maybe the wifi was difficult. We ended up putting our Australian sim in our phone when our HK ran out of data and that was fine.

Verified reviewA beautiful 4* hotel with amazing views and great facilities. Our hotel room was huge and well designed, an absolute bargain. It’s conveniently located a short and beautiful walk from the start of the bamboo rafting, with a nice restaurant nearby (serving delicious beer fish), and an easy Didi ride from Yangshuo (about 10 min) or the train station (about 45 min). The lady at the reception on the last day also went above and beyond offering us the opportunity to have a shower after rafting (it had rained), even though we had already checked out.
We had a severe problem with mosquitos that resulted in many stings overnight while the balcony door was closed. A disadvantage of having a very large room with high ceilings that prevented us to kill the mosquitos. So depending on the time of the year, it may be recommended to bring a mosquito net with you. Staff wasn’t very helpful at this stage.

Thank you again for your comments! In the room of Mountain Vista Courtyard you can see the mountain scenery from the Yulong River - Shuierdi Dock to the Gongnongbridge . River on the opposite side. The floor-to-ceiling window is a golden canola flower field and a strip of bamboo wood field in front of you. The whole hotel faces south without any object blocking the front. You can also sit on the tatami to enjoy tea and see the scenery. If you open the curtains early after waking up, you can see the feeling of morning mist reading cloud rolls and clouds, and the hotel can walk a few minutes to the water Erdi Pier in the morning, whether the scenery or the location is excellent, quiet and peaceful.
