Could be a bit chilly and sometimes smokey from the fires in the communal areas at times but didn't really bother us. We had the top floor jacuzzi room but it's more of a large bath, so manage expectations there. The view was fantastic though!

We loved our stay at Apsara Lodge. The staff are incredibly kind, helping to book tickets and tours at really reasonable prices. They pre booked us a driver from Guilin airport which was very smooth. The accomodation  is rustic but comfortable and situated in a beautiful and peaceful spot around 15 mins drive away from Yangshuo town. We found it really easy to get everywhere in the area using Didi taxis and bicycles for just a few Yuan. There are also stunning hiking trails straight from the property and multiple rafting spots along the Yulong River nearby. Unlike other places in the area, we found the area to be less overrun with tourists (that said, we visited in winter). The local food was wonderful and they have just built a pizza oven where you can make your own pizzas too. Free coffee, tea and washing facilities were a great touch. We had the in-room massages which were very reasonably priced. If you're looking for something that feels local and personal in a beautiful part of Yangshuo, we really recommend Apsara.

We absolutely loved our week at Apsara Lodge. The room (in fact both rooms, as we got moved to a bigger one free of charge halfway through our stay) was (were) lovely. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. We were there in the Chinese holiday week and Apsara was a calm oasis in a very busy area!

Nothing, everything was perfect

This hotel was just perfect for our weekend in Yangshuo, out of the busy city and only 15min away by scooter (available from the hotel). Very quiet and beautifully arranged. River view room was very nice, breakfast is just what we needed and the staff was really kind and fulfil all our requests: book the scooter, activity recommendations and bookings. We highly recommend moon hike / the light show / river bamboo rafting.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Always on hand to deal with any request or question. Helped arrange scooters and excursions tickets. Even following a power cut, they still served breakfast and made every effort to continue normal operations. Both breakfast and evening meals were great.

1. Charge of 2% surcharge if paid by credit card. This was not told earlier by booking.com and have never before faced when paying for hotel stay , esp a 4* hotel 2. I feel the Apsara rate a bit overpriced esp during this low season. Moondance is just next to it and cost half the price. Just because no river view. If I knew this would have booked at moon dance. All other facilities are the same. 3. There’s no body lotion. There’s no label of amenities in English. How do I know which of the 3 bottles in shower area is shampoo, body wash or conditioner? 4. Booked a massage for 60min. She finished in less then 40min. But still had to pay for 60. No refund. So be careful and time your session. 5. Room was cleaned but used mugs not cleared 6. Byciclec rent charged for full day although only used for 30min ( no hourly rate) 7. Was told hotel fully booked but when stayed there was only 1 other couple. Low season rates are still quite high.

The hotel owns both moondance and apsara lodge, and the car entrance is through the moondance. They should make more explicit on the booking site the address. But everything was great! Try to book the rooms inside the apsara main building, I thought it was much more comfortable than the outside one. The outside seems a lot more rustic.

I liked everything, the location is spectacular, outside the city center and much more peaceful. The staff is amazing!!! Thanks Maria and team for such a warm stay. They gave me a lot of good recommendations and helped set up the activities everyday. Loved it!

At the time we were there, there was a group shooting ads in the outdoor area. It was noisy and we couldn’t use that area which was very unfortunate. It would be nice if it had more vegetarian food option.

Very cozy, clean, and in a beautiful location. Also, staff were wonderful and helped us with a very nice itinerary with discounted ticket prices :) Also, chef was good at preparing Italian food😊.

The property is clean and peaceful. It looks at the river and you can hear the water running. I recommend a having a Chinese massage. Maria, one of the staff members was extremely helpful. And her English is very good! Overall, a very nice stay.

This is the most beautiful setting for a hotel, overlooking the river and a view of the mountains it is so tranquil! The interiors are lovely and modern, and they offer free afternoon tea every day which was such a lovely touch. The staff were so kind and made us feel very welcome. They helped us to plan our itinerary, transfers and we hired electric scooters from them too. We couldn’t have asked for more, we just wish we had longer! (One thing to note is that the bikes are not free that are mentioned in the description- but they aren’t expensive either)

We had a fantastic time! The staff was just superb, everyone was very kind and helpful with anything we needed — from making reservations to scheduling transportation. The room was quite spacious, and the room and facilities were nicely decorated and super clean. We enjoyed spending time in the pool with a beautiful view to the river and the mountains. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Yangshuo!
