How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWonderful experience with vibrant energy! If you're looking for a place to meet amazing people and dive into Medellín’s lively nightlife, Noahs is the spot! The atmosphere is super social—parties and laughter carry well into the night, making it perfect for outgoing travelers. ✨ The terrace is a gem—great whether you're catching up on work or just kicking back with a coffee and a view. It’s one of my favorite places to relax. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person had a warm smile and positive energy that instantly made you feel welcome—and that joy spreads among the guests too. It's the kind of place where happiness is contagious.
🔇 Not ideal for light sleepers While the social vibe is fantastic, the party atmosphere meant lots of loud music and laughter late into the night—which can be a real drawback if you're someone who likes to sleep early. 🛏️ Room comfort fell short The room was very small, with no space to properly store luggage—no closet, limited hooks & shelves. The bed and pillow were extremely uncomfortable, and seemed to have a plastic-like wrap that made it difficult to rest well.

Verified reviewFriendly staff and very good value for money! We really liked the area and even considered extending our stay here even though we had already booked another hostel for the upcoming nights. We were happy with our stay here.
Its not the most social hostel so if you’re looking for the social/party hostel vibe maybe not this one (I recommend Black Sheep for that).

Verified reviewGood beds with curtains all the way around, breakfast included was really nice and always free coffee was a huge plus. It was a quiet hostel so not particularly social but good for a nights stay.
Would really appreciate a plug and shelf in the beds, especially on top bunks…

Verified reviewI loved the hostel and the personnel! Very social, nice terrace, dancing classes on the terrace, free breakfast, quiet at night and clean, and that for a very decent price! Would definitely recommend this hostel! In case you are still doubting, it is easy to extend your stay ;)
Only downside is that there are construction works going on across the street during the day on weekdays.

Verified reviewThe terrace is great. Friendly lady for breakfast.
Our double room was right next to the reception without a window to the outside. Hence it was stifling and noisy. The condition of the room was , compared to the fancy pictures, run down. One staff member was continuously watching tv or staring at his phone, not welcoming at all. Unfortunately he worked most of the time at our stay. No reaction on the beer bell.

Verified reviewThe staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good and the location too. The kitchen is very clean and nice to cook in. The terrace was nice to hang out on.
The bathrooms and rooms were overall very unclean. I got a lot of bites during the last two nights, in “straight line-patterns” which very much resembles bed bugs (I’ve had them before, years ago). Did not find any actual bugs so don’t want to say 100% that this was the case, but I doubt it was mosquitos. The dorms don’t have locks on the doors so anyone could walk in. Uncomfortable beds. No “sleeping mattresses”, you sleep directly on the bed, you can feel the springs through it and it’s very just very hard and unpleasant. Basic things like a shelf to put your things on next to your bed was missing so you had to have your phone, book and other things in the bed.

Verified reviewVery friendly staff, rooftop terrrace is nice, and breakfast and location are nice
Noise in the night from the street, but with earplugs i slept fine

Verified reviewThe location in el poblado is great
The door of the balcony in the dorm couldn't close, so I woke up everyday with noises from outside. The upper bunk beds don't have a bar to prevent you from falling down, nor do the beds have a small place to put some stuff, like your phone, you have to put your stuff onto your bed. Some bathrooms lacked some hooks to hang up clothes/towels, the door lock was hanging loose etc... It's all very simple and small adjustments that don't require a big investment but would mean a huge difference in comfort for travelers. It shows that the person in charge does not care. And that mentality radiates to the staff who don't care much either, imo.

Verified reviewGreat atmosphere and free breakfast. The rooftop is a great place to be.
You pay what you get. Bare minimum. Our private room had no window but we knew this when booking. This however could actually be an advantage - no light or noise - we slept very long and very well.

Verified reviewWonderful lively location; rooftop bar seems like a cool place to hangout and meet others; very friendly, welcoming staff
Don't go, if you're after a good night's sleep. The noise level is insane with outside parties and construction sites. The hostel really could use some extra love when it comes to the kitchen and the overall equipment which is such a pity because the owners really promote a hostel-vibe
