The rooms have windows (with no glass, only shades) facing the atrium, so privacy and silence are not great. There’s no breakfast. Staff was not very helpful with very basic stuff, like laundry request: they had flyers for the service but you have to call and go to the place and pick it up yourself, they won’t do it for you (it’s 2 minutes away but still).

Amazing location in medellin’s best neighborhood. Rooms are very nice and spacious enough.

The room wasn’t functional – the “king bed” was actually two singles pushed together, the safe didn’t work, and there was some noise at night. Basic things were missing, like shampoo, and other amenities that are standard in most hotels in the area. Also, the front desk staff wasn’t the friendliest, which made things a bit less pleasant.

The neighborhood is nice and felt safe.

The first room I stayed in on the first floor had a balcony which was next to a roof and adjoining building. I didn’t feel comfortable using it and asked to change rooms which was kindly organised the next day for me. There were also mangoes falling from the tree onto the roof which made a lot of noise through the night (became quite endearing by the end). The room I was moved to had other issues, and although I was able to use the balcony this time, there seemed to be an ant infestation and I found biting ants in the bed, floor, shower and toilet. If not for this, I would have given a better review score.

Botánica Manila is well located, in an area which feels very safe and close to a gym, laundrette and many restaurants. Very easy to walk to the main part of el poblado. Aesthetically very nice and great to have access to a fridge and shared kitchen. The staff here are amazing and so so helpful, especially Jamie who made such an effort to assist me with changing rooms and Vanessa who was always friendly and helpful.

Loud at night and morning cause the windows don’t close properly. Cockroach in the room. Ceiling fell apart a little bit above the bed.

We read the reviews before booking about the road being loud so when we booked (6 weeks ahead of our stay) we requested a room not on the ground floor. Upon check in, our room was on the ground floor and closest to reception and they were unable to move our room. The traffic noise wasn’t awful but there wasn’t a single night we didn’t get woken up multiple times from people coming in. The hotel is very loud and the design is strange, there are windows in the rooms with shutters over and when you open the shutter, it’s simply a hole to the corridor (no glass) which is what I think makes it so loud. This also didn’t make it feel 100% safe, the locks to these ‘windows’ were tiny and given we were on the ground floor and the main entrance is open to the street (no locked gate or anything) it would have been easy to be broken into. After requesting a new room the receptionist was not friendly with us which was a shame.

The hotel is very modern, the room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The shower was amazing and the WiFi was great too. Good location to access the main parts of El Poblado, all a short walk away.

Location was quiet and near to many attractions in El Pablodo area. Good size room.

Could do with a vent in the room for the shower as it gets quite humid and steamy after a shower.

They put me in the loudest room in the place, right by the street and the entrance. So all day and night I heard people coming in and out. Im sorry if they had to hear my farts lol Sometimes no hot water available, I guess lots of people were showering at the same time

We were staying on the ground floor and since life starts very early generally in Colombia lots of street noise we already had at 6a.m. If you’re a light sleeper get a room upstairs

The walls are quite thin so it can be noisy, but I also felt fine with that as it felt like there was life around. I also didn’t understand the shutters instead of windows but didn’t affect me.

The rooms were super comfortable, lovely bed and thin duvet, the shower was powerful and enough space to hang clothes. Location was perfect and as a solo female traveller I felt very welcomed and safe.

The balcony was lovely but it was in front of a business with people passing by constantly so it wasnt too private and was hard to enjoy it.

Beautiful room, really friendly staff, and location is ideal - in the heart of Poblado yet away from the busy bars. There was a kitchen (microwave only) too so could bring or prepare our own food.

The room was in front of the reception and a little bit noisy.

Great position, location new and clean. Comfortable beds. One negative aspect can be the “open bathroom”, with the shower in the room instead of in the bathroom, not a lot of privacy.

Best for couples as the shower is a frosted glass cubicle part of the room.

Proper hot shower. Quiet. Comfortable. Free tea and coffee at the reception. Many restaurants around. Close to metro line.
