Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The cleaning fee is quite high, and there were no basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the bathroom. The rooms are very small and there isn’t a fridge. Overall, it feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel.
Modern and comfortable place. The apartment was very modern, and the bed was really comfortable. Great location, easy to get around. It also had useful extras like an iron, hairdryer, and a safe.

The room didn't get a lot of natural light, but it was still very nice!
This was a really lovely place to stay for a couple days, all the amenities worked perfectly for me, the bed was comfy, and I liked that it also had a stove and I could cook a little for myself.

WiFi didn’t work at all for most of my stay and the door to the room didn’t feel very secure

Really amazing service by Enrique. Very helpful with all our questions. Room is beautifully decorated, really modern and clean. The location is also really great, safe and nearby a central mall with a great supermarket.

The bedding is not very comfortable. We were charged an additional mandatory cleaning fee, which was not cheap, and which was not referenced at all in the booking information on booking.com. We found this very misleading and disappointing which soured our check-in experience. We also could not wash our clothes because the staff were never present (even during the advertised times) and guests are not allowed to access the laundry…
The apartment was modern, spacious and mostly comfortable, as per the photographs. The apartment actually contained two bathrooms, not just one (this was not clear from the original booking information), so that was a positive discovery.

Depending which room you choose, there is no kitchen. Aswell we did not have a window. The reception is only available between specific times. So if you have a question there is no one who can help you at the moment.

On a Friday night there is very loud live music down the street until midnight or so, so if you have a street facing room you won't get any sleep until this stops. Cutlery is in kind of a weird place, took me a while to find it! No ironing board.
Very nice. Room is clean and pretty spacious. Bed is pretty comfy. Shower is warm too.

The property was very clean. Its location was absolutely great! Many of the places were within walking distance since San Antonio is just across the river. Everything we need, kitchen supplies, towels, etc. was provided at the property. It was also very comfortable with A/C and hot water. I had to work during my stay and had absolutely no issues with the WiFi connection. I taught my lesson and connected with students without any issues.

The internet literally didn't work the entire time we were there. And the reception was almost never there the entire time to address it, and never responded when I messaged then on whatsapp
