Not the fault of the hotel, but bring bug spray. They do provide a nice mosquito screen over the bed. We used the fan when we were lounging in the hammocks.

You can't beat the location if you want to sleep on the beach or need to unplug. It's a small fishing/surfing village, with a touristic twist. The waves are quite intense so swimming may or may not be a good idea depending on the waves. We enjoyed watching the fisherman putting the boats in the water in the morning, the whole community comes to help. Don't expect a 5 star hotel with all the amenities, this isn't it. It's a wonderful little spot on a beautiful beach. The internet works. It's accessible by bus and a half a mile walk (or moto ride). It's also a short bus ride to the entrance of Tayrona Park. We absolutely loved sleeping with the sound of the waves.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice with the highlight being that you can hear the waves crash on the beach while in your bed. Totally recommend Calma Chicha

It gets quite hot but a fan is in the room.

A really nice view when you wake up, as the ocean is directly in front of you. One should be aware that in the upper rooms there is no window/door towards the ocean.

Filtered water would be a great addition as buying bottles all of the time isn’t great.

Stunning bedrooms, couldn’t get closer to the sea if you tried. Friendly helpful staff at check in. Comfortable, cool and clean. Nice spacious bathroom too.

Relaxing stay right on the beach. More of just a basic room, the place doesn’t have much of an atmosphere, but the views and the sound of the ocean is so calming. Restaurant just opening 2 doors down.. ‘El conche y nancar’ - best fish I’ve eaten in Colombia!

Ok, sometimes a bit of a kitchen smell, but not in all rooms and not in the fresh breeze either.

Super open concept, in the four-poster bed or or 2 hammocks right on the beach! The sound of the sea is always present and you can't miss the rising sun. Great breakfast and dinner on the beach, meeting point because it's so good. On the right neighbor is the best surfing school with a new hostel - Mendihuaca Surf Camp, on the left is the best fish restaurant in the area. The river next to it is clean and relaxed. For everyone who relaxes without Loving inhibitions (acoustically also uninhibited, of course). Nature reserve therefore quiet at 10 p.m. - not for party fans!

There is no outside food or drink allowed so you do have to buy there. Understandable but would have been nice to have a beer on our hammocks listening to the sea.

Amazing room overlooking the beach. Best place we've stayed in Colombia. We loved every minute of this stay. Fans were provided to help keep cool in the evenings. Stayed in the upstairs room and was great to hear the sea while you slept.

As a digital Nomad i missed a little Desk/Table and a Office chair to do my work. Would be awsome to Work there with this View and Vibe.

They put a plastic cover on the mattress which makes the bed quite uncomfortable

The place is beautiful, Virginia goes above and beyond her duty with all guests supporting them with tips for local tour, arranging transportation and so on. She is the core of the place, she made my stay at CalmaChicha special.
