We stayed in a private room, and here as well the room is separated from the bedroom by a curtain. But you can figure it out with your co-traveller to give each other privacy when needed :)

The staff of the hostel was really friendly to us and the vibes were great. The rooms were clean and the pool was a wonderful respite after long days of hiking. The location is super near the town center, but still a little on the side and on a slight hill (not very high), which makes it super nice. Really tasty breakfast place and a laundry just behind the corner. Obviously there would be some insects coming in, as in every hostel located near jungle-like nature, but nowhere near what some reviews of the place indicated.

We only stayed here one night. A nice double room with private bathroom for a great price. Up a hill but not too bad a walk. We really liked it

Not very good value for money. I stayed in a dorm, and the restroom had no door (just a curtain) nor toilet seat. I luckily only stayed one night, so it was doable. But as mentioned; price and the dorm I stayed in with facilities did not match the price in my opinion.

Friendly and welcoming staff, nice common areas with hammocks and pool.

The girl at the reception didn’t arrange our extension so the guy who worked there had to arrange a different room for us last minute. He was very sweet and gave us a discount because we got a more expensive room unintentionally. The girl who worked there, however, was very rude and unfriendly. There is no bar or water or whatsoever.

The accommodation was super cheap and the location was great. The private rooms are fine but there’s no AC and the mosquitos can still get in (no mosquito net) .

We booked a chalet for 2 nights. When we arrived they told us the chalet wasn’t ready and gave us the pool room. It was full of ants (big ones and the tiny ones) and we got bitten all over at night. These bites were itchy for the next 2 weeks :( But the chalet they moved us to for the next night was okay.

Stunning views from the chalet. Nice design and vibe. Good location. Just very very charming.

We had a private room and bathroom, there wasn't much of a view from our room but it was absolutely fine for a couple of days. There was a nice chill out area on the top floor, which you couldn't quite see the sunset from as there are trees in the way but still very lovely. There is a separate shelter a little further up from the main building with a kitchen with fridge/freezer and even filtered water which was really helpful, plus a seating area to admire the view, again you can't fully see the sunset but still see the sky turn some pretty amazing colours. The pool is nice, again no view but still nice to have, there were a lot of local kids occupying the pool whilst we were there so didn't provide for a relaxing experience. The shower did stop working at one point whilst we were there but the staff were really helpful and sorted this out for us right away. The property is located up a bit of a hill but it isn't too taxing to get there. The sign for the property is a little hidden but you basically take the first left as you walk up a dirt track. There is also the best cafe/breakfast place at the bottom of the hill so happy days!

The kitchens were really dirty and filled with ants. The boss was never around, but the volunteers were weary friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work at the dorms.

I booked a room and on my check in they gave a different room and told a lie that the another guest had take the key, but the room was with orher people. The day after they changed me to the correct room. But the first one was not really comfortable and the bathroom was dirty.

It's a place for a night or two. Close to town and close to Casa Loma that has a beautiful sunset.

The room is not air tight so there are bugs around, but you are in the jungle in the mountains so to be expected. The towels could use an upgrade. The wifi would cut out at night.

This is a nice rustic place to stay in Minca. There are good communal areas, pool and terrace in the main building and other hammocks up the stairs by the dorms. It's a good location just down all the steps to the main street with lots of shops and restaurants. The room was fine. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have a private terrace.

Our room didn’t have any bug nets and really needed them considering there was no screens on the windows and some of the ceiling was exposed to the outdoors. We got a lot of bug bites while we were sleeping because of this. Also this hostel is very loud. We were kept up a lot of the night because of people yelling and partying.

I really enjoyed the location of this hostel. The environment was really fun and it was a great place to meet and hangout with other travelers.

There's no shared kitchen for the dorms- just a fridge and freezer but nothing to actually cook with as they advertise. Only bathrooms in rooms so if you're in the common area- expect a big walk up the stairs. Don't organise any tours/ activities. Has a lot of potential to be great. Very noisy as basically sleeping outside. I had to move private rooms rooms as it was next to the reception and there's no sound insulation but they made me pay more! Not professional at all. Always late to check you in.

The more expensive private room has a kitchen and fridge etc. Good location near centre of Minca- walking distance from where transport starts. Spacious social areas. Nice views.

They have a lot of dogs and cats at the hostel which I actually like but one of the pets peed in my bed. They changed the sheets immediately but it was still kind of disgusting. For the price I paid I actually expect at least a clean bed/ room.

I stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed is super comfy, the bathroom is huge with great water pressure, and the private balcony is so peaceful and lets fresh air into the room with mosquito net or can be completely closed. There are also fans that work great. Regarding the owner, Romaric, he obviously works hard on this property, and I found him to be super helpful, and one of his knowledgeable friends (the Irish man) helped me plan a hike because I was looking for something a bit longer and challenging. This place is literally ON a mountain side, IN lush greenery, everything is natural/made with wood or fibre, and the price is so reasonable... what more can people ask for?
