We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was super comfortable, with a nice hot shower. The bed was comfortable too and the facilities are great. The price was excellent, we even had delicious breakfasts included during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for a good night of rest. Close to the mall and to the T zone. The staff and owner were super nice, friendly, and helpful. We sure are coming back!

United StatesFull disclosure: we booked for 5 nights and when we first arrived, the guy who checked us in was awful- he gave us the wrong keys, he didn’t explain anything to us, and he refused to put in any effort to communicate with us and our novice Spanish (even rolled his eyes and laughed when I said I didn’t understand). It was to the point where we considered switching hotels completely until we met the owner the next day (it seems like that guy was new and will not be returning). After that, we were made to feel at home with the rest of the staff. It’s a really good budget option when in Medellin. A little outside the main Poblado area (thankfully) but just a short and cheap Uber ride away. Netflix and the jacuzzi were a great touch if you’re feeling lazy. After our initial check in, our stay was great and we would recommend

The owner researched chargers and offered to go out and buy me one so it was ready for my arrival as I would arrive in the evening and had to work early the next day. It is fantastic value in a great location. Breakfast was lovely with the rooftop view.
