Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaThere were a lot of misscommunications with the staff. From the wrong room, to the “free walk”, to extending. And I also got locked in one of the outside toilets.
A huga place where you can find a place to be with yourself and chill.

SloveniaThe breakfast is a bit poor. The female room feels like it has no privacy because they put three big beds, one next to each other in a small room. There are no lockers.
The place is absolutely goregous. I’ve never stayed in a prettier accommodation. I extened one night and slept in the glamping, which I was anle to choose myself. I was right next to the river and I could listen to the wite noise the whole night and it was amazing.

CanadaThe property lacks overall maintenance. They have a spa but it was so dirty. Moreover we had to change rooms because our shower didn’t work well and the room we ended up with had an issue with the toilet. Overall I believe there lacks a manger on site. Tables were never cleaned (as the kids always chose the same one and I could see what had been left behind the night before was still there). Rarely anyone to clean the couches around the pool and pick up glasses on tables. The menu… most of what is on is not available. Out of 4 just choices only one was available for kids. The food is ok but again choices were not available. Lastly, overall experience with personnel was almost inexistant. We missed the Colombian greetings and warmth
The property was nice and the kids really enjoyed the river. The decor is really nice and easy walking distance to the city

AustraliaThe showers barely worked, they were cold and had no water pressure at all.
I stayed in the glamping tent and it was gorgeous. I was by myself but this would be perfect for couples as well. The location is quite convenient to the city.

Germany- The bed in tent was very small for two people and the mosquito net was not put in center so it was on the face of one of us during sleep. - sometimes the shared toilets were very dirty. - the placeis more for Colombian families than travelers. The pool was always full of kids. - We gave them a big bag for laundry with moist clothes (as in Minca humidity is very high). They said they will give it back the day after at the time of check out. At check out they said they haven't washed the clothes due to some problems and gave us a bag of stinky clothes staying humid for 1 day in a closed plastic bag. This was really unprofessional. They could have told us before so we could've found another laundry service in town. Not that right before leaving we realize we don't have any clean clothes or beach towels! -if you want to arrange taxi to Santa Marta, rather arrange it yourself with the taxi companies in Minca center. Chunuu offered us the service 20000 cop more expensive.
The location is nice. Next to river. The area is very big and there are many chill places you can rest and relax. The jacuzzi was nice and luckily without noisy kids, not like the pool. The breakfast was good.

ItalyThe rooms are simple and no frills, despite the colorful paint. You definitely need insect repellant and pay attention to sandflies or similar insects. Breakfast could be a bit more varied on the biscuit/cake/toasts side.
CHUNUU is a lovely glamping park descending from the reception to the valley bottom along the river. The plants and flowers are gorgeous and it has several spots for reading relaxing chilling out. Not easy to reach by car (but still reachable with a standard car), you can take walking shortcut to reach the village

NorwayThere were spiders on every bathroom and the mathress was really hard. We werent allowed to borrow the bikes, but we didnt understand why.
There was a lot of things to do at the hostel if you got bored. Also there were many places to hang out. There were not many people at the hostel when we were there, and it was a chill atmosphere.

Canada-if you want a social atmosphere and make friends don’t come here, it was saddly really empty (we were 2 in my 10 persons dorm) -they don’t have any social activities -it felt a bit like a resort/hotel more than a hostel vibe
-good place if you want a little social break at a low price (for your backpacking trip) -amazing AC -6 mins walk from town -beautiful place, installations and next to the river -good breakfast -super nice staff

CanadaThe staff here were absolutely amazing and friendly. Dorms suprisingly comfortable (though curtains for the beds could be nice) with solid shower and bathroom facilities. Location along the river was great, though a walk out of town. Pool and hang out facilities were also solid - though mostly used by Colombian families visiting on holiday on the weekends. Food was good if on the pricier end for Colombia. Overall a nice stay.

GermanyThe facility is older and unfortunately you can see that. Some areas (like toilets) and mats were not very clean.
There are many areas where you can relax. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. The location on the river was very nice. You could quickly get to the center via the small bridge. The tent we slept in was very nice. We had a view of the river and we could relax in the hammock right in front of the tent.

United KingdomWhen we arrived all the windows had been left open in our room so there were 5/6 mosquitos waiting for us. The shower head was quite old and the water never got warm. Quite secluded resort, but still only 5-10 minute walk to the busy area.
It was a huge resort with lots of nice spaces to relax (hammocks/nets/pool). We had a room with A/C which was really comfortable and quiet. Best breakfast we’ve had in Colombia, buffet style with lots of options.

United KingdomWifi was down everywhere but the reception (few minutes walk form the dorm) during our stay so if we had come to use it as a 'Co-working' space we would have been very disappointed. Very busy at weekends, not really an issue if you hang out in town or go hiking as we were rarely at the hostel, but it does mean that breakfast on the weekends takes AGES to obtain if you are not the first ones there. Everyone queues up to be served the food from a buffet set-up and the serving takes a very long time! If you want to start hiking early, make sure you are first in line!
Spacious dorm with good ensuite bathroom/shower facilities. Great location a short and pleasant walk across the river to town and very quiet in the evenings. Staff are friendly, can't comment on service as we never ordered anything from the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was good, the biggest breakfast we have had in Colombia that was included in our accommodation price. A/C worked well, although to be honest at night in Minca you don't really need it.

Czech RepublicThe property is really nice, it's huge, with plenty of social areas to enjoy and relax, swimming pool (too cold water for me but my bf enjoyed it), jacuzzi (not the cleanest or warmest but it does the job), ping pong, pool table, direct access to the river. The garden is beautiful and kept so nicely that is a real pleasure to sit and enjoy it. The restaurant has very good dishes for a reasonable price. The room was nice, clean and the shower was warm. The team working at the property is very helpful and really nice people, they made us feel at home and very comfortable.

CanadaThe 'Free bicycle rental' advertised in the description was not possible. Only 1 bike was ridable... The rest of the bikes either had flat tires, or broken brakes. And the repair guy was "Not here today" when we asked about getting a second bike prepared to ride.
Nice location backing onto a river. Big property, with lots of places to relax and a nice quiet bar area to chill out.

GreeceThe included breakfast was sad - the staff barely acknowledged us when we walked in. Without a gesture or greeting, we had approached to order, in which they said “we’ll bring it to you”. The meal consisted of scrambled eggs with toasted bread and dried out corn arepa. No butter, no jam. It did include a small plate of fruit and hot chocolate. I wish they didn’t assume I wanted hot chocolate as I preferred coffee in the morning. We had a big issue with our room’s “private” bathroom which was down the hall from our room. The hot water didn’t work, and when we raised this concern, they said they would look into it the next day. They didn’t, and we even got locked out of the bathroom. We told the night reception lady about our dilemma (who was having her dinner with another colleague). After waiting 20 minutes, the security guard showed up to open the door, and offered to move us into a different room for the night. This was kind, but a little too late (it was 9pm the second day). And after 3 different attempts throughout the 2 night stay. For some reason, they played loud music even though no one was at the pool area. This seemed to have persisted until 5:30am. It was very loud and the lights were also flashing. Perhaps they forgot to turn it off? The space is so big and most staff are so inattentive that it’s possible.
There are a lot of activities and hang out areas including a pool, hot tub, nets, an outdoor cinema area, and even access to the flowing river. It’s great for families and people looking to chill. Though it didn’t feel full at all since we only saw maybe 5-6 other guests on Friday night, but over the weekend there was a lot more local families hanging out. The WiFi was ok, depends on the room location. Near the bottom was spotty. Shoutout to the security guard that works nights and the woman at the front desk that works daytime (during check in and check out). They were helpful when we brought up concerns, and we felt like they cared.
