The hostel is in a nice and quiet location looking out to the mountains but still very central just 2 min walk up a hill from the square. It is very comfortable and the beds in the dorms are very private with walls around them. The owner is very friendly and helpful. You can refill your water, watch hummingbirds and it also has a well equipped kitchen. I would definitely recommend staying here

I recommend this hostel. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable, serene atmosphere and great views. Kitchen facilities available. The owner is very friendly & helpful giving great advice.

Shower water is not the hottest. I suggest changing the curtains as they let light in. When its windy parts of the roof bang which make it hard for 'light sleepers' like myself to sleep. Also walls very thin so other guests should think of others and make less noise.

Great hostel! The owner gave us so much valuable advice and took great care of us! It's a great place, super well located and with great facilities and managed by a great person, thank you for everything! I highly recommend it.

Central location and amazing views

It's in a great location and there's a fine view, when the weather allows. The staff are very nice. But, if you are looking for a private room, I would pay a little more and go elsewhere. I left here and found a place with hot showers and breakfast for an extra £1.

I came, to the hotel, because of the reviews and the price. The reviews don't match the experience, in my opinion. There is no hot water (you get 6 litres of Luke warm). The stairs are tricky to the 1st floor, where the private rooms are. The decoration, in the private rooms, is for a child. You have to climb over the toilet to get in the (cold) shower. There are lots of rules about areas to eat and drink, and when you can shower. The signs say check out at 10.30.

The staff was kind and that is all.

I booked a mixed dorm / 6 persons. The room did not have a window, just the entrance door. You can listen to all the noises of the reception and the kitchen. The toilet was in the room, however, it is not separated properly from the room. You can enjoy the smell, hear the sounds in the dorm. The toilet is very small.The shower is also very small, also not separated from the dorm properly. All the moisture of the shower remains in the dorm. You cannot put your towel, your dresses or soap anywhere. The sink is next to the entrance door, not even separated at all from the sleeping area. You can put your soap on your bed if you want to wash your hands. The lockers are rusty, the walls are dirty, everything is wet because of the humidity of the showever. If you want to turn on or off the light in the dorm, you have to be min. 180 cm tall to reach the switch. Alternatively ask a tall person in the room. There are no chairs to stand on it. If you want to cook and enjoy the food, bring your own frying pan. I check the reviews before making a booking all the time. The high scores do not reflect the reality of this mixed dorm at all.

This hostel stands out with an interior made with a lot of love. It gives a warm feeling that. The location is the best. Extremely close to the town center but still far away enough to be very quiet and having a beautiful view on the green hills surrounding Salento

The reception was very friendly, though English wasn't an option. The cheap private room was perfect for downtime, and the location is excellent, right by the main square. Being a small town, everything is within easy walking distance. The staff was nice enough to wait for me for my later check-in, much appreciated! Overall, great value for money!

Sleeping here was quite challenging due to the incredibly thin walls – I could hear everything, even smell the cigarette smoke from outside. The common area wasn't a pleasant place to spend time as there was nowhere comfortable to sit besides kitchen table. The kitchen was quite basic and lacked many necessary cooking tools. I also noticed that the common areas weren't very clean, and my private room wasn't cleaned at all during my three nights. Unfortunately, some of my food disappeared from the fridge. The most frustrating part was when I extended my stay; it seemed the place was overbooked, and I was asked to move into a dorm room, which wasn't what I had booked or wanted. Eventually I could keep the room, but didn't enjoy the pressure at all.

The kitchen was fairly well equipped and there was a filter for drinking water. I didn't see any coffee or teabags available for guests. The staff was friendly though there were a lot of rules such as not placing your backpack on the floor of the bedroom; they were to be in a space provided. This could be the end of your bed.

The hot water wasn't really hot or even warm. It was a fairly cold night and the top sheet and light bedcover were not sufficient to keep me warm. Getting to the hostel requires guests to walk down a very steep slope.

The location was amazing. The stuff was very helpful and friendly especially Diane Rose! Everything was super clean and organized. The staff was always helping with any questions. I wish I could stay longer

The price is good and the location

Although it’s written in the description, there is NO hot water there!!! When I told it to the reception, she kind of ignored and when I insisted she said that the water is maybe not hot but it’s not frozen like the cold water, which is not helping at all because the weather in Salento in too cold to shower in cold water. Also, the room was a bit small and the sink is in the middle of the room, the shower is more like a tube that drains water than a shower, and also the toilet lid wasn’t exist so when I wanted to change my clothes I couldn’t do it properly. Also the mosquito screen in the window was a bit torn so there were a lot of mosquitoes

Super friendly stuff! Amazing value for your money! Don’t expect anything fancy but for the price it’s really great! I absolutely loved the little balcony with the mountain view! Comfy beds, good wifi, tiny bathroom with so so hot water :)

Beautiful hostel, great facilities, excellent attentive staff. Especially Joana with her unforgettable lively personalitie and willingness to help! I met a lot of cool likeminded travelers. I’m finding it hard to leave this beautiful place. See you next time!
