Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThey close the gate early and you had to call repeatedly to get back inside even after telling them that we would be out late.

ColombiaThe bed sloped towards the middle and therefore sleeping was not easy. In general the bed was not the most comfortable. It was not terrible, it just didn't work for me.
The location of this hotel is one of it's best selling points. It is within easy walking distance of local restaurants. The breakfast served was good. My room had a jacuzzi and a small fireplace in an attached alcove. I paid for one of the upgraded rooms which featured these 2 extras. The hotel sends a man to light the fire in the evening. He leaves a few extra sticks. The fireplace burns for about an hour. It was nice to sit in front of the fire for that hour. We did not use the jacuzzi. The property had a small area for games and a grass space to walk barefoot as well as some trails.

GermanyThe rooms are not soundproof at all, so there is a lot of noise from people walking in the rooms above you. There was also a strong unpleasant smell from the nearby properties.
Nice atmosphere, big rooms and lots of space. Some parts are still under construction but the walking paths are beautiful with lots of nature.

PanamaIn the descrpition it says the area is great for hiking and biking and also that the hotel has free bikes. However, they only had one bike available and there were very few guests staying there so it wasn't sold out. You cannot really hike in the area as most of the fincas are private. You can drive 20 minutes to the nearest national park for walks (not really hikes but walks in the forest). The walk on the actual is a very short walk of 5-10 minutes. The WiFi was instable and I would double check whether the restaurant is open. However there are plenty of options within 5-10 minutes walk so finding dinner is no problem.
The place is much cosier than expected and we enjoyed the architecture of it. The front staff really made the positive difference. They were incredibly helpful and always at our service. They made an effort in making us feel welcome and breakfast was served where we wanted to sit. The restaurants in Santa Elena are nice and close and easy to get to. they accept credit card at a 5% surplus charge

United KingdomThe walls were thin which meant noise travelled from next door and it got very cold at night. Quite a rustic hotel.
The bamboo constructions were impressive. The receptionists seemed nice enough. The location of the property was in a good spot to walk into town. There was Netflix and a good tv to watch on.

LithuaniaIn my opinion, the reviews and stars are overestimated and this should be treated as ordinary hotel, not 4* hotel.. A bit far from the airport in a little village (didn't know that). Breakfast was a bit poor. At night it was very cold, because basically you sleep outside.
Big room, lots of privacy. Breakfast was brought to our room. Staff very helpful, young and friendly. The hotel is surrounded by nature.

ColombiaArrived at the place and immediately the front-desk man says the hotel was overbooked and our reserved room was already taken with payment in advance, option that wasn't available in the Booking app, evidencing lack of communication between the staff and the consumer. The offered room had humidity smell and look, and was placed right in front of the main desk, where you could hear all people's noises. Other quiet and bigger rooms were offered with full price.
Immediate action to solve overbooking issue with previously reserved and hence cancelled room, as a recently fixed and cheaper room was offered in return. Breakfast was delicious, staff is very friendly and location is perfect as it's surrounded by a lot of green area to walk. Bonfire was a great bonus experience and they offered bike rides, as well as their own restaurant menu. The dogs were quiet and seems to be a pet friendly and family place. Honest advice about a payment fee before paying with card. Location was easy to find and go, as well near the main town park or streets.

United StatesOur friend got bit by the dog, it was freezing with no option to turn up the heat in the room, roosters woke us up at 5:30AM, there was no top sheet on one of the beds, the coffee at the front desk in the morning was cold, my friend told them she was allergic to nuts and ended up throwing up all night because there were nuts in a sauce.
The staff is welcoming and accommodating.

United StatesThere’re gaps within the doos panels and window corners. Wind, insects get into the room. The bathroom was dirty, there were spider webs w I sets in them everywhere! The place was dirty
A Chalet is what I rented. Well. Poor construction lets the cold wind from a storm get into the room making it extremely cold. Freezing cold.

United StatesOne of the worst experiences during our stay in Colombia. After reading all the positive reviews and the 4 star rating, I booked a deluxe room for about 430.000 COP a night. Given the cost, I expected a certain level of quality and service. I was wrong. The room was dirty and in desperate need of renovation. Almost everything was broken (shower door wouldn’t close, sink sprayed water everywhere, jacuzzi never got hot, floorboards uneven). The staff seemed upset about having to clean our room, and proceeded to do the minimum possible. Highly recommend looking elsewhere.
