Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe entrance and exit are through a narrow, steep path. There is no easy way out, so it’s not suitable for people who are not in excellent physical condition. You need to ask for the water heater to be turned on in order to shower..
A very good experience for those who want to feel the jungle .i was most of the time by myself and enjoyed nature.

ItalyThe only downside is having to walk up and down the path in the forest for 20 minutes every time you want to get somewhere and come back home. But it is also part of the experience of being surrounded by the peacefulness of nature, so it’s not really a negative point. Just be ready to hike with your backpacks the first time, and consider to arrive when there is still light to make it easier!
We loved kasaguadua, it’s a very unique accommodation! It was fascinating to learn about and see the work they put (and still do) into this amazing project. It’s very inspiring. You’re surrounded by nature and wake up with birds singing. William is super friendly and ready to help you with anything you need. He has an amazing energy and is an amazing cook! He cooked a delicious breakfast that we had together every morning, he really welcomes you into his home.

PolandYou are really in the jungle, but also you have own pod with a comfy bed, hot water and comfy common spaces. Carlos is an amazing host, he'll explain everything to you about the lodge, but also will prepare really good breakfast. Just do groceries before checking in and relax being in the nature.

United KingdomA really special place. Carlos is a wonderful host, generous with his time, easy to chat to and has lots of good recommendations for Salento and other parts of Colombia. It is very much in the middle of the jungle - it's a good 20-25 minute trek to get there - making it a unique experience you'll struggle to find anywhere else.

United KingdomIt's a jungle, so of course the are many mosquitos. But the males help pollinate cacao and other important plants, and apparently it's only the pregnant females that sting you so they can use the iron in your blood to feed their unborn babies, so I feel less animosity towards them now. Just be careful of the other little buggers that live in the long grass - wear long clothes that cover the skin and don't sit down.
Great breakfast cooked with care (catered for vegans) and the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals for lunch and dinner. Excellent chats with the fabulous owners, who are really inspiring. The design of the place is also super cool and regenerative - I felt I learned a lot just from being there and seeing how it all worked together. So many amazing plants and birds across the land, waking you up in the morning and accompanying throughout the day. And a bird watching book to help identify them all :) Beautiful location and super cool to be able to contribute to and be part of this sustainable tourism project. Awesome zazen meditation sessions too! One of the best and most memorable places I visited in my whole trip in Colombia. Very special indeed <3

PolandCarlos and Willy have created something very special, that goes beyond an accommodation. Kasaguadua is an experience, in which you are exposed to a lot of new knowledge about the nature and you are given a chance to become part of the system for a few days. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn, experience and meet our hosts. The memory of this stay will be with me for years

ColombiaWe truly loved our stay in Kasaguadua, the place is beautifully created with a mindset focused on sustainability. For this reason, it was perfect to disconnect from the city, learn and enjoy the nature. Carlos is a great host and an admirable person, and Luna (the cat) is super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the facilities transmit calm. This place is perfect if you want to experience nature and you’re not looking for a 5-star hotel experience.

I LOVED this place. Amazing location in the jungle. The cabin has everything you need, very comfortable, and very clean. The owner Carlos, is a wonderful human - super knowledgeable about the birds and animals around, and also a wonderful breakfast chef. We had a brilliant night tour led by Luna, the resident cat, and we paid in scritches. Sitting outside reading, listening to the bird song was the most relaxed I've felt in a weeks. I adored this place and cannot wait to go back. It's also only ten minutes and 2,000 pesos from town.

United StatesKasaguada is a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by nature. I loved chatting with Carlos, who is an absolute gem of a person. He and Willy are excellent hosts. The hike down to the lodge is a bit of an adventure the first time but that adds to the fun. And once you’ve done it once it feels quite simple. Do make sure to wear your hiking boots and only bring what you need, though - they conveniently provide a place in town for you to store your extra things (the people there are also incredibly nice).

This is a unique stay in an absolutely extraordinary natural reserve. Everything is thought out and Willy (who welcomed us) was just so hospitable. The breakfast is also delicious. We could not recommend this more, and to support their brilliant conservation efforts with a donation as the price is extremely reasonable. Thank you!!

AustriaThe cat in the main building isn't ideal for people like me, who are allergic. But obviously, the poor thing also needs a place to stay. During the day, with the windows open, it was OK. Also, she doesn't go into the pods. Just be aware and take the necessary precautions.
This is a very special place, run by very special people. I absolutely loved it! It's much better than staying in busy Salento and you can still do the same activities. You just have to factor in the 20-min walk up the hill. From the road, it's very easy to find (public) transportation into town. The location of Kasaguadua is also ideal for visiting the coffee fincas. You can easily walk there. And there's a great little restaurant with beautiful views very close to the entrance of the nature reserve. I'm so glad I stayed there. Next time I'll stay for a week!

United KingdomEverything was perfect.
Fantastic place to stay a couple of nights deep in the forest. Not far from various coffee fincas offering tours if you don't mind a 30 minute walk. William was an incredible host, from the moment we arrived his energetic, infectious positivity made us feel immensely welcome. He cooked a tasty breakfast each morning and we spent the evenings chatting (he is very knowledgeable about all local activities, fincas, bus options for onward travel etc.) and drumming. His humour and company is honestly one of the best things about this place! The cabins are cute and comfortable, and the main house is beyond stunning, we weren't prepared for it when we arrived, honestly the pictures don't give away how uniquely designed and beautiful it is. The kitchen is the best we have had access to so far on our travels, the living space is comfortable, they even have a movie room and a large selection of DVDs if you fancy a movie night!

GermanyWonderful calm lodge in the middle of nature, with everything you need to relax. William was an excellent host who was eager to share information about the area, for example where to go for a good coffee tour. You can hike around the lodge to a nearby river and see some animals. Our hut was small but sufficient and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and they provide a lot of things to do, like books, a tv with Netflix, a chess game and drums to make music.

CanadaIf we're being picky it would be nice for the beds to come with mosquito nets as we got quite a few bites. But, we anticipated this could happen being in the middle of the forest!
Kasaguada blew our minds. It's located in the midst of the cloud forest and requires a hike to get there, which we thoroughly enjoyed as it added to the sense of adventure. Willy was there to help us from the day we checked in and was exceptionally friendly and amazing, despite our language barriers. We stayed in the chalet with the built in kitchen which was fully equipped and wonderful. The main lounge area (we'll call it the treehouse) was SO cool. It's amazing that this place was built from scratch and we'd definitely recommend anyone visiting in Salento to make time to visit Kasaguada!

CanadaIf you are in Salento you need to come stay here. My boyfriend and I have never done biotourism before and this was such an amazing first experience. Carlos was the best host we could ever ask for and was super accommodating during our stay. We took his tour and learned so much about the land and we got a crash course on how to be more mindful towards the environment. Overall everything was better than what we could have imagined, the rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a nice meal, and all the knowledge we gained was irreplaceable. We even joined Carlos in mediation in the mornings with him which was an extra special treat. Thank you so much Carlos for such a wonderful stay and all of your help. And also getting to know Luna the cat!!
