The property is so clean! we saw staff maintaining cleanliness from the moment we arrived. The views are amazing. The reception staff are incredible - especially Valentina and Jefer! When we arrived Valentina gave us a warm welcome and ensured that we knew everything about the property and the tours that were available. We changed rooms the next day to a private and met Jefer and he was so kind and helpful. He let us know our room was ready early so we could check in and he insisted on helping with the bags! We really recommend this hostel for its great staff! Viajero is such a great chain, we have stayed in other Viajeros also and the staff are always super!

It's still a hostel, not a hotel. The doors are thin and in general everything is quite hear-trough. Especially in the morning this can be annoying, as the chill area is just in front of the private rooms. Breakfast and food are quite pricy.

I've been on many hostels and tjis is for sure one of the best ones I've ever been, even tho I had a private room this time. The standard duble room is nice, clean and has a balcony with good view. The restaurant offers food and good breakfast, which unfortunately is not included. It's not a party hostel, still the atmosphere is great and easy to get in tpuch with people. I had a great saty!

The people and the hangout areas. If you want to meet people and conversation it’s super easy with all the activities. If you just want to mind your own business you can relax in one of the chairs facing the mountains and a beverage of choice.

Here are a couple of areas that could be improved. The common areas are located near many of the rooms, so that it can get quite noisy at times.. Also, the kitchen equipment could use an upgrade - the pots and pans were very worn out and almost unusable. Replacing them with stainless steel options would be a big improvement over the current Teflon ones.

I stayed at Viajero Salento for three weeks and had a fantastic experience. The private rooms are spacious and offer stunning views of the mountains. The team was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Special thanks to Maya and the entire reception team for making everything so comfortable and enjoyable.

The room was a bit cold at night due to the humidity in Salento (I visited in August) but I could get extra blanket at the reception. Pack some layers.

The hostel is just minutes away from the main square in a very calm area, yet super close to restaurants, bars, supermarket. Highlight is having breakfast overlooking the mountain. It’s very easy to meet and connect with people to do activities with.

A very minor thing but there are not a lot of covered or inside communal spaces so if it’s raining or cold, there’s not a lot of places to hang out.

The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and have many hangers. The outside area is lovely and there are lots of activities to socialize.

They closed the bar really early which was a bit annoying (22:30), also one time we needed something from the reception and nobody was there
