How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewSo clean It was exactly what I was looking for sourrounded by nature but still close to town. I was worried about transport but it wasn’t a problem at all. A 2 minute boat ride with no eait time. Staff so nice.
Breakfast was repetitive. Same breakfast for three days

Verified reviewIf I could rate it more than 10 I would. The location is incredible and better than the photos describe. We spent one night drinking a bottle of wine with sunset in a jacuzzi overlooking the rock, not a lot of things would top that. The beds were the best we had during a month's travelling in this part of the world. The breakfast was good and generous. The best part however are the owners, whose names I unfortunately never got. They were very attentive, helpful and always ready for the short boat ride across the lake or bringing us some drinks. Brilliant place to spend anything between a few nights and a week!
Everything was perfect!

Verified reviewIs a good place to disconnect
If you want to stay close to guatape and have the freedom to go in and out of the hotel anytime this is not the best place to stay. The stairs to some of the cabins are endless but aside from this it is a good place to stay

Verified reviewEverything was great except for small confusion in the beginning - we were not informed in advance that we cannot drive the car to the hotel and had to meet someone on the side of road to take a boat to get to the hotel.

Verified reviewNicely equipped cabins, but no shade so not useable for part of day and no aircon. But lots of room, good showers and decent sized fridge. Area for hot tub and mesh to lie on not much space for anything else. Well spaced pods. Great clubhouse to use with shade and space to sit and view Moutains. Excellent cooked breakfast with proper fresh juice. Very comfortable sleep, despite the mattress and pillows covered in plastic! Has bar and restaurant. However, near to town if you wish pop in for nightlife. Staff very helpful.
However, brutal steps to climb, very uneven, with often no handrails. No boat was necessary (maybe dry season). Cabins facing wrong way, as despite pictures on site, you are faced with looking directly over town of Guatape, and NOT the mountains, no night sky or stars viewable which was what we wanted to experience. So that was a disappointment for us. Had most expensive dish on menu which was tepid and very tired - sure it was just shipped in. Very different experience to breakfast. So in conclusion, worth what we paid but not a real Glamping experience.

Verified reviewEverything!!! The glamping pods are perfectly set up all facing the rock, the breakfast was amazing, the club house is stunning with excellent cocktails, the location is walkable to Guatapé in a few minutes, the guy running the show is incredible. They really went above and beyond to make our stay incredible, even doing some of our laundry whilst we were out after our morning canyon trip! Unforgettable - this is a must stay place in Guatape.
Nothing - we didn’t stay long enough.

Verified reviewBeautiful room, great hot tub, would be beautiful views.
The lake was completely dried up due to a drought- obviously outside of the hotel’s control but they only told us when we had arrived in Guatape. We would have changed to somewhere else if we had known. You pay for the view so even a discount would have made us feel slightly better. We had to walk all the way down into what was essentially a quarry and then back up many many steps.

Verified reviewThe property was off the beaten track so it made it very peaceful. The accommodation was very comfortable. The private outdoor spa was a nice touch which was nice after a long day walking. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Lovely view of Guatape and Piedra del Peñol.
The resort description did not indicate that a short boat ride was required in order to access the resort. On our arrival at the resort we were somewhat surprised to find a 30 odd steps on a rather steep staircase. This did not present a challenge to us but guests with mobility/health issues could find this impossible to navigate. Something for the resort to think about in terms of their advertising.
Dear Ms. Mychelle, thank you for choosing us to provide you with a comfortable stay during your visit to our town of Los Zocalos, we will take your recommendations into account to provide it to our future guests.

Verified reviewStaying at Glamping was a great experience for my spouse and I. We enjoyed the view of Guatape, the hammock, and the jacuzzi. Breakfast was a traditional American breakfast with coffee and an orange juice. We didn't stay long enough to utilize the amenities but remember that kayaks were available to explore the lake right below. Attendant was responsive and helpful and on call whenever he was needed, he even let me borrow a charger and charging port when I realized I had forgotten mine.
Communication and clarity in regard to how to get to the hotel.. It is only accessible via boat. A short and pleasant boat ride. We arrived to Guatape by bus and got off at the stop nearest our hotel (according to google maps) only to be informed that we were supposed to get off at the first bus stop in Guatape near the attraction parking lot where we were to meet our attendant (who was very kind and helpful despite all of my confusion). From there, you'll walk down a dirt path to a small dock to embark a row boat and row approx 45ft to the entrance of the hotel.

Verified reviewThe location and the room were awesome - great view of the town and of the piedra. Jorge especially was an absolute legend - ferrying us across on the private hotel boat when we needed, checking we had everything to make our stay perfect and being generally friendly and professional!
The only minor thing is arriving to the hotel was not very clear - it was all answered very quickly and simply, but worth knowing you need to message ahead to get a little boat to the place!

Verified reviewThe room inside is ok, was clean the bathroom was also ok. The stuff was very nice
We didn’t like the location is literally in front of the town (I guess not what you are looking for in a glamping) like one block so we could hear all the traffic, the bars and all the noise from the town also the view was really bad! Not what you are expecting after looking the website and the pictures in booking. The view and the location are súper disappointing. Also the jacuzzi water was all yellow and with a lot Of dead bugs and there is not were to seat outside apart from the lounging chairs that were wet and with holes in the fabric and there is not roof there so if it’s raining there is not were to seat so If it’s raining you have to stay inside or jump in the dirty jacuzzi, also the plastic plants in the little jacuzzi area are very tacky.

Verified reviewWhat a beautiful property. It has a lovely view of the lake and the piedra. The glamping units are adorable. The rooms have all the space you need, the hot tub gets very hot and is very comfortable for two people, and the net is relaxing to lay on. The bathroom shower felt great too. The clubhouse is nice for the meals and to just hang out. The staff is so nice and friendly and accommodating! They’ll bring you back and forth on the boat whenever you want. And the main part of town is right there. We all absolutely loved our stay.
That we didn’t stay more than one night.

Verified reviewThe cabin is just stunning. The private jacuzzi with a great view really made it special. The staff was super friendly and it was super easy to communicate via WhatsApp. We could rent kayaks to explore the lake. We will definitely come back :)
