How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Located by a busier street. Need to open windows for ventilation which adds extra noise. Garbage trucks at night and religious morning processions and constant noise of motorcycles revving their engines when they pass by does make sleeping difficult.
Great for a one night stay. Super, super clean rooms with a friendly staff. Central location in town of Guatape.

No windows to the outside but not much of an issue. Bathroom is a little cramped but has what you need! There is an earlish curfew for the kitchen (it’s locked) but that helps keep noise down.
I enjoyed my stay here. It’s a very simple but charming hotel centrally located within the town. Didn’t have any noise issues and found the bed comfortable. Luis on the desk was very helpful and polite and allowed me to store my bags when I need to explore the town after check out. Communication was prompt and helpful with staff via booking.com. Recommended!

Our stay at Hotel Casa Verde Guatapé was great! The location was very central, the bed was comfortable, the showers were clean and hot, we had access to a kitchen, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Overall, it was incredible value for money.

Rooms are not soundproof at all so a lot of outside noise can be heard until around midnight. Bathroom was very tight for space.
Nice staff and colourful property in the heart of Guatape. The check out time of 1pm was amazing and much appreciated.

There is a small concern about mould behind the bed (room 15)… which made the pillow smell damp. The owners replaced the pillow with zero fuss.
We actually spent a week in this hotel, and really enjoyed our stay. The couple running it are really friendly and we’re always at the ready to make sure everything was perfect from replacing pillows to obtaining new towels. The kitchen was great to use, though a little outdated it functioned enough that we were able to cook well every night. Wifi worked well with zero issues. We had room 15 which also is one of only 2 rooms with a proper window. We would easily stay here again if we returned.

Rooms are not sound-proof so you can literally hear people in the other rooms and corridor.
Perfect, central location. Nice looking and well-maintained property in a charming village building. Clean room. Helpful and nice staff. Well-equipped and very tidy shared kitchen.

The room hasn't any windows, this is not too bad, but would be nice to have a bit more of light. It makes the room colder.
It is very well located. The house has everything you need for a couple of days, the staff was amazing, and the price was wonderful

The staff were really helpful and friendly, and let us check in much earlier than we were supposed to. The room is nice and good value for what you are paying, and it’s a good location just a short walk from the front and the main square.

The bathroom door was difficult to open from the inside. The shower was lukewarm. Noise from other rooms is easy to hear but wasn't too disturbing for us.
The staff is really helpful and friendly, we even got candy on Halloween :-) Great location in a relatively quiet area, 2 mins to city center and also right around the corner from restaurants and shops. The room is a little basic but with a comfortable bed. The hotel looks cute and is overall welcoming and nicely decorated. We recommend staying here because of the location and nice staff, also because it is good value for your money.

This place was perfect for me as a solo traveler very quiet and peaceful. I love the fact that you can use the kitchen, and for me as a chef is an extra plus the entire vacation. Having breakfast with a beautiful view and being able to study without any noises and interruption was what I wanted from many days and finally I found this Place. Very helpful and informative owners. Basic and simple accommodation. Exactly as I was looking for. Thank you guys.

Great location, clean, hot water, and has a kitchen for guest use. The price is fair for Guatape and comes with an amazing free breakfast. Only thing is the 10:30pm curfew which is a bit strange but we didnt have any issues coming and going.

Small rooms and small beds as others have said. Showers were barely luke warm. I even checked if there was hot water and how to make it run but still no hot water.
Location was great, good space / patio with kitchen.

The hotel is very simple, but nice. I stayed in a room with a window only to the corridor, but it was OK. In exchange, the hostel has a nice terrace, where you can chill or have your meals. The staff is very helpful and nice.
