no partition between the beds

It is a small property with comfortable beds. Location is also good, close to the beach. Only issue might be that the beds are close and without partition and you may get disturbed by each other. Fortunately the day I was in hostel there was only 1 person. Attached bathroom was clean and the host Emanuel was very helpful with everything.

Very friendly hosts and the place was very clean, comfortable. I was looking for a place to sleep before the long Ciudad perdidad hike , ended up staying both the night before and after my hike at Santa Marta. Beds ere clean, rooms were comfy and slept very well. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. The facility is quiet and safe. It is not a party hostel like others nearby in Santa Marta.

Everything. It’s managed by a family and they make you feel like their own family, very friendly and very helpful. They kept our bags for free until we go to Tayrona National Park and come back next day. Easy access to restaurants and beach. Helped us with getting around the city. I highly recommend them.

Had to make a last minute reservation as another one at another hoste didn't go through and we couldn't have been happier. All of them were very welcoming and helpful! They helped us with tips around Santa Marta, organising a motorbike to go to Minca and were very helpful with planning day trips and onward travel. Also the kitchen was well equipped.

The bathroom wasn’t spotless but alright.

The host was very kind and helpful. Location is good, within walking distance to restaurants and waterfront. The room we stayed in was quite small but ok for us.

The proprietor, Daniel, was super helpful and provided great tips on where to find things and how to get around. The hostel is in a great location at the edge of the busy central area.

The cleanliness was okay overall, but the bathrooms could be a little cleaner, the room was pretty small

The staff was super friendly and we were allowed to have a nice shower several hours after checkout without charge, the location is great, the room had air-conditioning (we stayed in a double room)

The owner is super nice. The room is quiet yet very very close to everything. The bed was comfy and the AC unit worked well. The shared bathrooms were always available during our stay so that was great! We went to Tayrona and left some stuff here which is free of charge if you spend at least another night after Tayrona, which we did.

The common area it’s a bit small as there is no garden but it’s ok for one night or two.

The owner is really nice and does his best to make you feel at home. The hostel is very well located and has everything you need to cook. Even if the dorm is big, it’s well organised so it’s not too noisy.

We can't really come and go as we please, as we always have to wait for someone to unlock the door - which is good for security - but it's kind of annoying, and we felt like we disturbed the staff. The rooms could use some hooks to dry the wet towels. Bathroom could be cleaned a bit more often :/

The A/C was perfect and much needed... Staff was really welcoming and helpful, and we loved the dog Bruno :) Overall the value for money was good.

A cozy, clean hostel, with one of the best internet connections I have had in Colombia +100 MB of speed. Great value for money. Juan was really attentive and helpful with all the questions. 100% recommended. Muchas gracias Hostal Españolete!!

Very social if you speak Spanish while I was there, but not really in the classic hostal backpacker way

The staff was incredible. I got to practice my Spanish a lot during my time there. They were very helpful with everything and two nights I played Fifa and F1 with Daniel. Also/ But most other people staying were Spanish speakers, so if you are a non-Spanish speaking solo traveler, this might not be it for you.

Shower with no pressure at all. It is impossible to have the hair washed.

Very kind staff, huge and comfortable room. Excellent bed and lots of plugs. There's no breakfast, although the booking says there is, but the hostel has a really cool vibe and it's really cute. It has a family atmosphere and the wifi is good.

the cleanliness of the shared bathroom could be improved. and they could propose breakfast or at least propose a bakery, bar to bring the food there for breakfast.

Daniel is really helpful, friendly, flexible and real chill. Like the dog. jaja. It was a pleasure to meet a person with such nice vibes. We kept in contact through the whole stay via WhatsApp in case something happened. Water is free, Wi-Fi strong. Excellent location, good value for money. they even lend towel and locker for free. so please be respectful and conserve this place.
