The room was very very small and had no window I could open so it was extremely suffocating

The property is a great location, close to everything

People walking around all night, you could hear everything. People chatting loud, staff coming and going very early in the morning. Also, the breakfast was horrible. They tell you from 8am you can get it, we went 8:30 and we had to wait 40 minutes for half a burnt omelette and 2 pastries who were super hard. They didn't give us fruit (which they did to other people as well, but they never even offered us.) We didn't even take the breakfast the second day because it was not worth event tho we had it included.

Location was ok for the day, at night it was a bit sketchy to walk around. The bed was comfy :)

Only 2 showers between a lot of people and the toilets are in the cubicles so no access when showers are in use. We arrived very early as our night bus was 3 hours early so we got there extremely tired at 4am. It was a 24 hour reception so no issue and the guy checked us in fine. Our room was available but we had to nap in a common room for a few hours before day shift staff came on and then we had to pay $20,000 to access the room early. Completely understand we arrived crazy early, but no other hostel in south America has charged for this especially when it was available and ready and no extra work for anyone involved. Already wasn't the cheapest place. A small gripe really, but we were so exhausted so worth noting for night bus travellers like us!

    Good hostel, comfy bed.

There is hot water but it's not consistent during the day. If you take the shower late evening, it's likely to be very cold. It's not a problem for us but it's good to know. At the weekend, there may be a party on the rooftop so it can be a bit loud.

Location is very good. Staff is friendly and nice.

Walls are too thin but I would assume that is the case with hostels in Bogota

Really nice place with good staff, great rooftop with bar where you can relax in the evening. No issues with storing luggage. Although we spent only one night it was really nice and spacious place. Breakfast was included - fruits and scrambled eggs.

BUDGET friendly option for a trip to Bogota

I don't think this Hostel is to be blamed fully for this, as I believe it is an overall shift in the culture of Hostel Travel, but it wasn't very social at the location. There wasn't that much to do, and the common areas were a bit underwhelming. I had a private apartment, and the door was a bit flimsy, to be honest, and my window had to have the shade drawn 24/7 as it was directly facing a hallway that people were constantly walking by. My room also had no ventilation, so it got kinda snuffy in there, especially my bathroom. It was about 2 days after I arrived that I got around to understanding how my included breakfast worked i.e. you go on the roof, sit and wait until the chef acknowledges you, not to bash it or anything, but I just would have rather some structure and knowledge beforehand of how things worked.

The location is perfect in the La Candelaria area, I was always just a few minutes walk away from a nice restaurant or museums. Uber had no issues navigating to and from the location as well, so that's nice. I was able to walk from there to the entrance of Monserrat with ease. Overall, a good value for your money, I suppose.

Overall it was convenient, a bracelet system to ensure payment for everything. A bit expensive for the value.

Digital nomad hostel style, good wifi and a feeling that you can make good use of the facilities including laundry and a cute rooftop restaurant. Good location.

All in all I had a nice stay. I stayed in a private room for 3 nights. My room was big and I liked the charme in the room. The only down side which was quiet tiring was the street outside, so it was really noisy in the room at all times. Staff was nice. Breakfast was made with love and effort.

A sturdier door and lock would have been nice.

Lovely hostel in a historical building, with original architectural features. Staff is helpful and check in is fast. The rooftop terrace was perfect, and the al fresco breakfast was lovely with early spring weather. The set breakfast is fairly basic but as it was included in the price, nice to start the day with. The single room I stayed in was simple but comfortable, no outside window but perfect for my needs. The location of the hostel is excellent, with easy access to touristy area. There's a minimart next door for simcards, water and cookies and stuff, on the other side is a small snackbar offering empanadas and other snacks. It's within walking distance from the Monserratte cable car, lots of restaurants around, Botero museum and Gold Museum nearby. Would absolutely stay here again, both at this hostel and this area.

The bathroom mixed with the toilet is really small, and not really clean. There are lot of toilets which doesn't work well. I didnt get hot water during my shower. The kitchen also get only 2 electric cook wich work really bad and same for the kitchen tools

The staff was really nice and the mood of the hostel was good . The old house is really big, and impressing and the terrace was really nice. I had a private room clean and confortable but a bit austere

We had a private room, but a few basic amenities were missing, such as no hooks to hang your towel or jacket. It would also be great to have a bath mat so you don't get the floor wet.

Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooftop bar is the highlight of the place, so much fun! They had great mojitos, music, and a lively atmosphere. Great location to walk everywhere.
