Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBathrooms weren't very clean during the afternoon hours
Excellent location, close to one of the best restaurants in Bogota and easy walks to convenient stores. The staff was lovely and if you are looking for a short stay I think this place is perfect.

United KingdomStaff were a little frosty. Breakfast service was about 2 hours give or take for our large group which sort of puts you on the back foot for the day. Towels had (I hope) makeup stains on them and they only provided 2.
Super safe neighbourhood, maybe even a little too upscale for a backpackers. Rooms are laid out well. Felt secure

United StatesOk, here was my only issue, but it's a common one in Bogotá. The rooms aren't heated, and they don't have space heaters. I get cold easily and so sometimes an extra blanket isn't enough. If you're used to that, or don't get cold easily, you won't have any problem. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations, Trip Monkey Zona G.
First off, Trip Monkey is actually a hostel with some private rooms (which is what we rented). It's not an issue, but just to know. If you're expecting a full service hotel, it's not. Then again, for their very fair prices, you shouldn't expect a hotel. The staff was amazing and the location is great. In the middle of phenomenal restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the center of Chapinero. The rooms are basic but well kept and clean. Big plus (and the reason we booked) - they are super pet friendly and didn't charge extra for having our dog with us. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend staying here if you want to be in Zona G, you can't go wrong!

GermanyIf it wasn't for the bathrooms I would give 10 stars BUT what bothered me was that there were really no hooks or tables or anything where you could put your clothing, towels and toiletries. I don't like to put my hygiene products and clothes on a floor or toilet. I write this in the review because it's a really easy fix. It will not take much time and money to implement this change. Another minus was that one of the bathrooms was full of mold and I am. Not talking about a little bit because you almost find this everywhere. There were two bathrooms and luckily the other was fine but the moldy one was the worst I've ever seen in any hostel.
The staff was really friendly and polite. What I also liked was the big comfortable beds. Bigger than usually in a hostel and I also liked that everyone had a small drawer for personal belongings. The location was quite which I liked and not too many people in the hostel but still very lively.

GermanyThe kitchen equipment could be renewed, knifes and pans were in a very bad condition. Similarly some of the room furniture.
We liked the outside area, Alejandra from the staff was very helpful in everything we needed or asked. The bathroom was very regularly cleaned and they had conditioner! We loved the shared kitchen, a great place to meet people. The area is very nice, it had a nice park with playground and a small river 10 mins walking away.

AustraliaThis might not bother some people, but my room had a massive window looking directly at street lights with thin glass. This meant it was super noisey and really bright deputed the blind all night. It would be ok if you're happy with good ear plugs and an eye mask. The venue could consider getting something that blacks out the light more. Plus, soundproofing that window a bit would help heaps
Staff were lovely and the location is great. It felt very safe and easy

HungaryThe privat room where we stayed definitely needs some maintenance (parquet was super noisy, wardrobe door is barely sliding, position of the plugs, lighting in the bathroom, shower courtain). Shared kitchen is not well equipped and it feels a bit old. A kettle would have been useful.
The location is excellent, you can find cafés, street food, restaurants, bars and all the necessary services nearby. Bus stop is just a few minutes walk. The area is safe and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked the small café with its patio area. Comfy bed, large window. You can buy local sim card at the reception desk.

NetherlandsThe staff English knowledge was limited, so be prepared to speak some basic Spanish.
Very well located in a safe neighbourhood close to some good high end restaurants, but also very good cheap restaurants. Also close to some good bars and Theatron is on walking distance. Taxi to the historic centre is about 7500 - 10000 COP so easy for day trips. Staff is nice and the coffee bar attached to the hostel is great and also serves food breakfast.

IrelandThe windows allowed a lot of noise into the room, which didn't bother us for our short stay but may be irritating over a longer visit. There was a small stain on the duvet cover. There were two covers provided so we just removed the one with the stain!
The location of Trip Monkey was fantastic! There was a wide array of restaurants and cafes just around the corner. It is also a short taxi to all the main tourist attractions, such as the Museo del Oro. The staff were friendly and helpful.

New ZealandThe street noise was very noisy at night. We required the use of earplugs to sleep. The private shower in our room was hot for 10seconds than cold again so we had to use one of the communal showers that was significantly better with constant warm/hot water.
