Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EcuadorIt was super noisy, the walls and windows were paper-thin - I could hear all the traffic, the booming sound of the water heater in the middle of the night and even people having sex next door. They gave me very thin blankets and even though I asked for more, the receptionist's door was never open. The water was either ice cold or burning hot. There were also no lamps on the nightstand next to the bad. The description mentions a private kitchenette but there was only a common kitchen that was very poorly equipped.
The room was clean and big enough and there was a table and shelves and nightstands.

PolandThis was one of the worst accommodations we stayed at in Colombia. Beware — the photos do not reflect reality! We booked after reading older reviews in March, arrived in April, and were completely shocked! Newer reviews tell the truth — pick another hotel! Dirty everywhere — dirty bedding, blankets, bathroom, floor, everything! The hotel looks like it was built in a rush with leftover materials, like a patchwork shack. We got a room on the ground floor — from 7 AM loud conversations in the hallway, clearly heard inside. They promised a room with a view... most rooms have windows facing the inside hallway! At check-in they told us there was hot water — there wasn’t! Plus the room was freezing cold at night — the first night was terrible. The next day we complained about the missing window pane — the lady said it was "designed that way" (?!?!) and about the lack of hot water. Because of that, they moved us to a room on a higher floor. We wanted to use the kitchen, but were told that the person responsible for it no longer worked there, and someone would be available only the next morning. Kitchen hours are 8 AM - 10 PM, but guests don’t respect that and start making a lot of noise from 7 AM, especially disturbing on the ground floor. Next morning, the kitchen was still filthy — not just a one-day mess, but a sign of general neglect. We had to contact the owner, who then called the woman responsible for taking reservations (who lives behind a barred door on the ground floor). She quickly showed us the kitchen — a 10-minute job that couldn’t be done the night before… By the way — there’s no "kitchen staff" at all! The woman handling reservations simply lies to guests, works without any real effort, and is very dismissive. No elevator. No reception desk. Broken electrical outlets, unfinished construction everywhere. The surrounding neighborhood is awful. Never again!

Australia1.Despite letting them know our arrival flight and approximate arrival to the property, we stood outside banging on the door for 10 minutes in the rain until someone opened the door. There is a code for the door but it was not provided until we were actually in our room which is not normal. 2. The bed is as hard as what I imagine lying in a coffin. I’m a side sleeper so it really hurt my shoulders and chest. Heaven help you if you’re a female and sleep on your front! 3. We booked months prior but were given a front room. These are definitely not the pick of the rooms as the traffic noise is non stop and people wander along this busy road all night ensuring you don’t sleep. The rooms are not soundproofed. 4. We were also opposite the kitchen. It has a light which comes on automatically and switches off after a brief moment unless you stand there. This is great for those going to the kitchen but each time someone walked that way, the light turned on and shone under our door into my eyes. Not conducive again for sleeping. A simple attachment at the bottom of the door would fix this issue. We threw a pillow along there. Also people use the kitchen at all ours and clang pots etc. there is minimal soundproofing so we heard everything. Some people are so inconsiderate cooking at 1am. The kitchen should close by 10pm. 5. We didn’t cook in the kitchen but did attempt to use a spoon and glass. There was no cutlery drawer, container or anything I could see to use. I found one spoon in a cup. 6. The accommodation is listed as a hostel. A hostel is a social place for meeting like minded travellers, usually has a social feeling to it, has reception staff for advice on what/where/who etc, and actually has a sign on the front showing this. There was nothing. It felt like we were in a block of units and were invading someone’s property.
Only a few things. The shower was strong and hot. A rarity it seems in Bogota. The towels were thick and fluffy. Again another rarity. On the fourth floor (no lift but that didn’t bother us) there were two industrial sized front load washing machines and dryers free to use- just BYO washing powder! The room size was good too. Room was clean too.
