It's was our third visit to Islander House and as usual, we were very happy with the accommodation. It's location right at the beach is fantastic and it's away from the super busy town centre. We loved it once again.

The staff (mostly one person) was awesome. Super welcoming, helped us book trips during our stay, and made us an awesome breakfast by hand. Location near Rocky Cay beaches and away from the city was also great.

The mosquitos, is necesary take de air from fan all time because between 4:00 pm at 7:00 pm there are very annoying this bugs. You need repellent

I liked the placed, because was very quiet, is near to Rocky beach, only a few steps, and there are various restaurants service, fron diffetent price and variarity, the transport is easy to take by taxi o public. In the yard there are many crabs!!!!

Beautiful and functional room with an incredible balcony with sea views. The staff is willing to help and cute animals around (crabs, cats, and dogs). A little far from the center, so I suggest collecting cash (pesos) for a taxi or bus. Wonderful experience.

The garden is pretty and the location is very close to a beautiful beach. Air conditioner is new and quiet.

The garden is full of gray crab burrows; they come out at night, especially after rain. Be careful not to walk near them.

The wooden house is a great place to relax on Rocky Cay beach. There are restaurants and markets nearby, and the bus can be stopped right outside the house. Good breakfast too.

We were hoping to be right on the beach from the property but you have to cross through a couple other properties to get to access Coco Plum beach. It's not a big deal, it was just unexpected for us. Also I wish there were more breakfast options as we stayed for 7 days and would like if they included fruit. We had some guests staying above us and they were walking around a lot causing a little bit of disturbance but it wasn't unbearable.

The house overall is cute. The room was cleaned everytime we left.We had a our own hammock which is needed for relaxing. The cat that lives there was enjoyable, he is very lovable. I looked forward to breakfast every morning which is included and I appreciated that. We initially had an issue with the AC unit inside the room but the host came right away to resolve the issue. Thank you for that. There's also a beach resort close by (Coco Plum) that we visited often for dinner,they have a great vibe,good food and atmosphere. We also visited their beach which was nice as well.We also had an issue with a local scooter rental service and the staff at the Islander House was kind enough to resolve any issues we had to help make our stay more pleasant and comfortable which they did, Thank you.

The whole property/ area surrounding the property could do with a deep clean/ clear up.

To be totally honest, when we first arrived at the property I was a bit surprised by the state of it. We were greeted by the owner who told us to take a walk on the beach that the property backed onto while we waited for the room to be ready. I say a beach it was a bit of sand filled with rubbish. When we got to our room, we stayed in the loft, it was a beautiful space with a beautiful balcony & view. When we went to go to bed, we noticed hairs in all the bedding, luckily there were 2 beds in the room so we decided to sleep in the other one. The bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned, again hairs everywhere and everywhere needed a scrub. Breakfast was good, great pancakes! Or arepa with scrambled eggs, served with fresh fruit , juice & coffee. The location was good, right next to rocky cay beach & was a taxi ride/ bus into town which took about 15mins, you can wave down a bus easily on the main road at any point (there are no bus stops). Taxi cost 30,000 pesos from airport and 30,000 into town too. Bus cost 2000 pesos into town. After going around the island and generally seeing other accommodation options, this was probably one of the better options, at the end of the day, it was in a good location & nice property once you get past the lack of cleaning.

I loved everything. the only note is if you are afraid (or phobia) of crabs, maybe is not the place for you (they are afraid of humans so they won’t do anything to you) bcoz at night you can see them in the yard, and it’s normal in the island

the location is excellent!! just a short 5’ walk and you will be in one of the most beautiful beaches of San andres, with the amazing sea and calm an privacy (and good cocktails by allxc). the staff is really nic and friendly, Aracely is very kind and Maria Victoria is amazing. you have access to the kitchen and the fridge so you can cook and keep your water or stuff refrigerated. the best thing: Lulu!! the most lovely and cute cat nice clean sheets, good space in the room, ventilators (is not a problem bcoz the house has good air currents thanks to the windows) and good breakfast

An excellent place to stay. You can't get any closer to the beach than this place. The house manager is very accommodating and cooks a great breakfast which is included with the room. This was the 5th time I have stayed here and I will definitely be coming back. The owners are always making noticable changes to the property and it shows.

It’s a pity that the private beach in front of the house wasn’t well-maintained, so we couldn’t really use it. Cleanliness could be improved, as well as some updates in areas like the bathroom. A mosquito net would also be a nice addition. The thin walls were a bit of an issue, as we could hear sounds from the neighboring room quite clearly. Unfortunately, our neighbor was a young man who played music and sang loudly until midnight, which made it harder to relax.

The house from outside is really beautiful, Beatrice is nice and welcoming. The location is great.

the house is nice but the cleaning is really bad. also the house needs a strong renovation. Breakfast is poor. we used the luxury family room on the top floor. The bathroom is downstairs, there are no locks you use padlocks, the wardrobe is small and is located in the bathroom this thing is pretty boring! there is no hot water… despite all Cris the maid is kind and caring except that the last day arrived with an hour late. the cost is high compared to the service offered

Beautiful place, the beach is just few mins walking distance. However you need transports to city center in case you want otherwise it is superb place to chill and enjoy the nature, sea and the beach.

HORRIBLE STAY - TO AVOID IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. The hotel managers are never there, guests are having big parties, drinking a lot, playing very loud music, vomiting with horrible sounds waking you up in the morning, it's IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP! Additionally, we discovered our bathroom was shared on the floor below and the towels had big stains... We tried to reach out to the property manager via email, whatsapp and calling to fix the situation with the neighbours, but we never received an answer (even though we explicitly put our whatsapp and phone number to contact us directly). What I was told in the morning was that he had sent us a message via booking (I somehow never got the email notifcation about this). Very weird i was not contacted over whatsapp (or to my wife) as we tried to contact him many times! Maybe we just got unlucky, not sure, but the situation was too intense to not let people know on the platform. We stayed at many different hotels/posadas in San Andres and Providencia and it was always really amazing and calm. But considering there is never anyone at this hotel (outside of the very nice cleaning lady 3 hours in the morning), you are at the mercy of other guests' rules. And if they decide to drink, play loud music & vomit all night, i promise you won't sleep. I kindly asked the hotel manager (again over whatsapp because he was not there) to not charge us the 2 nights we did not sleep my wife and I, but he was starting to get very upset so we settled with a 50 USD discount on the whole stay, which is pathetic. We did not want more problems with those people, so we moved on. My recommendation for the hotel -> don't have a hotel if you don't like hospitality and clearly don't even bother coming to the place, it's a bad experience for everyone, including you, and the business will ultimately suffer/die.

Everything is extremely dirty and old. The house is missing the bare minimum to be considered decent: clean bedsheets, clean towels and a clean bathroom (I only took one picture, but you get the point). Considering the overall conditions of the house, kitchen included, we decided not to have breakfast at the house. The room has no air conditioning (as stated in the booking page), and the fans haven’t been cleaned since forever. You basically either breathe years of dirt, or suffer the warm and humid temperature. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the price was higher than other rooms (with air conditioning) available in the city center. It’s a pity, because the house would be so nice, if only they took care of it.

The staff was kind and helped us book a day trip, the scooter and the taxi for the airport. Please be aware that you need to communicate your arrival time upfront, otherwise you’ll end up waiting at the house, like we did.
