This might only be applicable for room 1, which is the one I was given, but there was really no noise insulation from the street or hallway. And since room 1 is before the main gate, you’re kind of shut off from the beautiful courtyard. If you’re not in Room 1, then that’s not an issue I guess!

The staff were really nice, absolutely happy to go the extra mile. I felt at home.

No exterior rooms with king beds were available.

The king-sized bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is a short walk to the main plaza. We expected an inside room, since that was available with the king bed. The room did have a window to an interior open air space that provided natural light. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the restaurant that had the breakfast wanted to charge me for hot sauce. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself and more with the restaurant. I just was put off that I would be charged for hot sauce

The location was perfect for my stay in El Retiro. The hotel looks amazing, and the stay was welcoming and comfortable. Will come back again.

The doors/walls can be thin so I could hear people speaking next door. The mattresses are also very firm.

After getting used to first rate water and plumbing in Medellin, we had to remember not to drink the water and properly use the plumbing.

We enjoyed location, near the plaza but quiet. We had a beautiful view from our room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There is no cafeteria service on Mondays. So, be aware of that!

The hotel has a great location, with plenty of options nearby. The room was comfortable and a huge bed provided us the rest an relaxation we needed in this trip. All the site is pretty well maintained and the room was neat! Certainly, I would come back.

The only two things that could be better: 1- there was some construction that waked us up at like 8 am. After about 30 hours they probably realized guests may want to sleep longer, and it stopped. 2- no breakfast is offered, not even a cracker or something. There is a coffee/tea/water station, so maybe even a little something to go with the coffee would be great, considering I paid $50 (US Dollars) for one night.

This posada is pretty awesome. Room was fenomenal, the bathroom was great, and the bed was soooo comfy. The central living room is worth a visit, with its open roof, as this was a colonial home, and all the details around the posada are amazing. Is a very well maintained, comfy, cute little place.
