United StatesInitially placed top level to the back of the building. The ascent were steep spiral stairs which makes them unsuitable for the walking disabled. The front of the building has normal stairs. The beds are very firm. Only one pillow and towel per guest. The kitchenette was not functional. There was not a dish washer in the room and the small balcony only overlooks the street of the hotel not a picturesque view. The room has normal stairs windows. Daylight comes in by having the balcony door open. Not a sliding door, so two people on the balcony at the same time will need to shuffle around each other to get in and out. There is a little more day light in the living space if you keep that door open.The building needs updating.
The Staff are flexible and accommodating. They even made breakfast outside of breakfast hours a couple of times. They are friendly delightful people. They really make you feel welcomed. I have been in more expensive hotels that have not delivered their level of customer concern and care. Juan and Camilla were great.

I liked the location. Very close to the busy '70'. The hotel/room is simple but clean. You have the necesary things to prepare to go out.

United StatesModern remodeled room (205). This is an interior room and very quiet. Manual was an exceptional host. Always a smile and a warm greeting. Very responsive. If there was a schedule for breakfast, I never knew it. I ate breakfast at any morning hour in the morning, and there was no complaint. Coffee was always available. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. The room was very clean. There were convenient power outlets and light switches. I loved the refrigerator in the room. There were many shelves so that I wasn't having to dig through my suitcase looking for things. I could set them out for quick access. The room felt more like home than a stranger's house. There are a great selection of restaraunts that are only a block away. I'm certain there are things I missed that made, this, an exceptional stay.

United StatesWell, the upstairs rooms on 3rd floor have very thin walls. The guy in the room next to me would be talking on the phone at 7am and I could every word of it. So its hard to sleep there. I moved to another room downstairs and that was better but the place is very small, three floors connected by a spiral staircase, about 8 rooms in all and noise travels very easily in this place. If you want to sleep past 8:30 am I suggest you turn on the cold air of the air conditioner to dampen the sound of people being loud in the kitchen or lobby. Also when they make eggs in the morning the smell is kind of strong so that can disturb you as well. They want you to pay in cash so that adds like 11% to the cost of the room because of all the bank fees and exchange rate of 7-8.5% when you use your ATM card to get cash, god forbid they have to pay a small rate I suppose. They make be pay 14$ for having a girl over for just an hour. Yeah, okay. No problem.
The staff is very friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. I needed help calling home and they go out of their way to show me where to get the right sim card to it for example. Also, the place is secure. Tourists are often exploited but they have 24 hr security and watch who comes in and out.

Hong KongNo hot water for shower in winer, and we told it to the reception who informed us need to wait 40mins. Then, we waited over 2 hours still no hot water.. Finally, she requested me to 1st one room for shower then back to 3rd floor room..We requested to change another room but said all rooms occupied, even though I can find they still have rooms for booking. We think that t ey did not want to solve the problem. it is not acceptable as we need to stay 3 night, so we left and found another hotel.
