Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere isn't much lighting or music in the common spaces at night so it's not easy to chat to people and there's not much of a vibe compared to other places on the beach. Even though it's beautiful it's probably too expensive for what it is.
The rooms are beautiful, loved having a private bit of beach.

DenmarkThe compostable toilet was not a favorite of ours, and we hope that it can be improved without failing to comply with the concept of sustainability. A few thing that can be improved to make the place even more nice: The place in general is run by solar panels which is really nice, but it is not enough to light the tent or the outdoor area sufficiently at night. It would especially have been nice with light inside of the toilet shed instead of outside, as you will sit in complete darkness if you don’t bring a flashlight. Besides that it would have been nice with a door in front of the beach to prevent people from entering the room/private area. You are in the middle of nature, so expect crabs, lizards etc. around :-)
The style, the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff. The massages that are offered is really good and professional. The food at the restaurant is really good, but a few more vegetarian options would be great.

United KingdomYou have to walk 30 minutes to go to the main road, where you can take the bus. There are moto-taxis that can take you from the hostel to the main road, and they cost around COP 8,000. We didn't really mind walking, but it's good to know what to expect. Something else that we weren't really aware beforehand is that the whole concept of the hostel is an ecolodge - which means that everything is made out of wood and you really feel like being into the jungle (which we loved!). This, however, comes with maaany mosquitos since there are no walls or covers in the rooms - everything is open air. You could also be exposed to lizards, frogs, or whatever else walks around your room.
Lote 10 was a dream and much better than we could have expected. Its location is definitely its strongest card - in between of a wild ocean and a tropical jungle. The hostel has a super cool bar right on the beach, which offers a great selection of drinks and amazing food. The breakfast is included and you have a choice among three different plates, all of which are very delicious and accompanied with juice of exotic fruits, coffee and fruit. The staff is so friendly and always open to help you with whatever you need. There is a huge garden in the hostel where they grow different kinds of vegetables and exotic fruits - very inspiring lifestyle of self-sufficiency! The rooms are very well-equipped and have literally everything. Outside the door of the rooms, you can find a faucet to wash your feet before you enter, inside you have towels, mosquito net, and a box with a lock that you can use as a safe. There is also a little garden with a table and chairs, and then the shower, sink, and bathroom (which is ecological, so no flush). The WiFi works very well, too! They have even created an improvised gym next to the bar with weights, bench and monkey bars - all made out of wood and cement! Once in the hostel, you will come across a wide range of tropical animals (birds, lizards, frogs, and I even saw a kind of iguana twice). Lote 10 offers a very interesting perspective into life in nature and self-sufficiency and we absolutely loved it! Would definitely recommend.

LithuaniaWe understood that the staff is changing all the time, most of them are volunteers and were friendly, but the reception does not value people, they just want your money :) we had issues with the payment (the message they send you on booking app doesnot mach the words they say in reception). Also the reception was not very helpful, even the last morning when we were leaving just before breakfast time and the day before they said that they are going to leave breakfast for us at a bar but there was nothing there (It's okay not to get breakfast when we leave early, but it could have been said in advance instead of promising something you won't deliver).
Amazing surroundings, really cute tents with our own yards, we loved beach and nature! The food and cocktails in the bar were nice as well.

United StatesShower was cold, but that was to be expected.
I ate both breakfast and dinner at the property, rotating among all the options, and loved everything I tried. I was surprised how much private space I had (King room with ocean view) including my own little private beach with comfy seating. I loved that I could minimize the environmental impact of my stay by using solar power and composting toilet; I never saw a single plastic bottle or plastic bag the whole time I was there. On Saturday night I could hear the thumping music of a nearby resort; I was SO glad that at Lote 10 Glamping you only hear the pounding ocean, all day and all night. I especially appreciated the staff: you can whatsapp reception and request that your breakfast is brought to your room, and if you get a massage, the massage therapist comes and sets up in your private space. They were flexbible in allowing a late check-in when I arrived. On my last day I thought my shoes had been stolen from where I'd left them to dry on my private beach area; a helpful staff member looked through security camera footage and discovered that they'd been taken by a staff member and brought to the bar for safekeeping. Alex and David, along with the entire kitchen staff, made me feel very well cared for.

The kids loved the Teepee tent. But when traveling with kids we recommend to also rent one of the luxury tents for kitchen facilities/ electricity and the jacuzzi . Free roaming springboks.

United KingdomThe dry toilets took some time to get used to and there was only one plug in the room which didn’t work very well. Make sure you wear insect repellent to avoid sand fly bites.

ColombiaThe food was good, everything was delicious, but it would be better if they had more options in the menu. Coffee was really bad. It's a shame since you can find delicious coffee from a bunch of different fincas around la sierra nevada.
The tent and the bed are really confortable. The hotel is right in front of the beach, so you can eat and hang out watching the ocean, and we were lucky that we could swim everyday (normally the current in that area doesn't let you swim). You can hear the ocean from the tent and I love the sound. I loved how the people from the hotel thought about everything, even little details, like leaving an umbrella outside the tent in case it's raining and you wanna go out of the tent (to the bathroom or the restaurant), or that there's a trunk with a lock and key inside the tent to keep your belongings safe, they even give you hangers for your clothes and there's always water to refill your water bottle. The dry bathroom wasn't really a problem (I thought it was gonna be a weird experience, but not at all, just a new experience). Breakfast included was great.
