Reviews of Cabañas Mister Mac

Nice room with air conditioning and private bathroom, you sleep wirh the sound of the ocean. Accomodations in the island are simple but the people is simplyamazing. Laudina organized a private boat tour for us three and we did great snorkeling, saw giant starfish and coral reef fish. Cabañas Mr.Mac is opposite a car/moto rental and very close to a grocery store. I highly recommend restaurant Caribbean place for dinner just few steps away - and South west beach where you find wonderful cocktails at Niño Divino and amazing food at Arturo's restaurant. The host can arrange a simple breakfast also.

Fabulous location, right on the water. Room was squeaky clean, bed comfortable.

Food is a problem here. Often the owners are not around.

Almost everything. Sleeping and living right next to the sea. The hammocks. The only few steps to swimming waters. The wildlife flapping wings or creeping around.

The prices, but that is in Colombia on the whole. It is just greedy to take the amount of money most hosts do in this country and offer the minimum standard there is or even below it. Still, this house is one of the more reasonable ones.

The property is perfectly located close by from a lot of attractions on the island with a great view on the sea and the sunset, the hosts are very attentive at our needs and very helpful.

Would be nice if each room had their own chairs on the balcony. It’s a very small thing but we really love hotels that have self serve coffee at the reception like the hotel next door.

Very tidy cabin style accommodation, right on the shore so you can take advantage of the sun loungers and hammocks. The owner was friendly and helpful, which is important on an island where cash is king and it's difficult to get around

There's no hot water on the island

These are not cabañas (independent huts) but normal standard rooms. None of which have an independent living room and separate bedroom. Beware of this if you come with kids. The description of the room is not accurate. The manager of the property did not acknowledge this neither compensate it. Bookingcom either. We have been advised by bookingcom to write a review about this. The location is excellent. The rooms are basic and clean. Beds are comfortable even though the double bed is not big.

There are not cabañas but simple rooms. Not much space for a family. There are other places on the island more suitable for a family. We spent 4 days somewhere else. The breakfast is unimaginative and poor. Quite a lot of mosquitoes, more than in other parts of the island. I think they suffer from the “lonely planet curse”. Once a property has been feature in the lonely planet guide they tend to drop the standards (that’s my experience).

Very nice hosts, always ready to help. The best location. Only a few cabanas, all with an incredible view on the Caribbean. Very clean. Cabanas were cleaned daily. Calm and relaxed, real island feeling! Worth every penny.

Great Stay in Freshwater area, next to the sea, good facilities, great staff, allowed us an early check in and a late check out for no extra cost.

The only things that are missing is wifi and more bathroom stuff (soap, shampoo)
