Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe loved this hotel! We only regret we haven’t stayed longer. We stayed one night after we did a whole day hike from Calabazo to El Zaino. And it was the best decision we made to rest one night here. Pictures can’t do the justice to this place, everything is surrounded by beautiful nature and hotel facilities. Hotel staff has been lovely, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We used restaurant and the food was the best we had in the entire Colombia, and it was also very fast. It seems that some of the comments for this hotel are outdated so I suggest guests to read the most recent ones. Thanks again to everybody for wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back!

ItalyThis is a true paradise hotel located into a forest - still being well separated from it to guarantee the necessary relax after a very long day (you're going to need it facing the long journey into the Tayrona park!). This honestly was one of the best hotel I've ever experienced in my life.

CanadaVery clean, close to the entrance of the park, which is so convenient to drop the load and continue the journey. Kudos to Dario at the reception who made the checkin easy and gave a lot of info, goof food, reasonable prices, try the fruit bowl! You’ll see what i say after you order it, two jaccuzies, hot and cold, and a nice view to crash after long walk to Cabo Juan

FranceThe rooms are not so isolated so you can hear the neighbors easily.
We had a great stay at Yachay. It is the first hotel when you arrive in the park. The hotel offers a shuttle to bring you at the beginning of the main paths. The hotel has everything you need, the food is great also. The staff was amazing and really helpful, full of recommendations. Totally recommend it !

Ecohotel Yachay Tayrona is the perfect, affordable spot right inside the entrance to Parque Tayrona (El Zaino). Located in the jungle, you wake up to howler monkeys and birds every morning. The hotel can arrange a quick bus ride (12 thousand COP) to take you to the track. From there, you can walk all the way to playa Cabo San Juan or stop at 2 other lovely beaches along the way. The hotel itself is lovely - the food was really delicious, offering fresh-caught seafood. The staff are exceptional. Dairo is a wonderful host who is very attentive and will help you with your Spanish! Overall it’s a quiet, tranquil spot that’s perfect for anyone wanting to escape the noise of Santa Marta.

United KingdomRestaurant was understandably limited but fine. Nice breakfast but didn’t quite get why we were limited to one black and one white coffee each! No nice bread either and had to ask for butter/jam. It’s only 3min drive from the park gate so deliveries can’t be too big an issue. But just a small niggle.
Beautiful location with gardens and amazing walkway access through the trees from the restaurant entrance. Staff were great and helpful. Really nice common areas with plunge pool and jacuzzi. Our a/c didn’t work but we were moved to another room without a fuss.

United StatesThe beds were HORRIBLE. That’s the single thing that we did not like during our stay but it was significant enough to deserve a comment. Everything else was perfect but the beds really need to be changed. If you have a weak back, this may not be the spot for you. My back hurt for several days after the trip…
The hotel is absolutely stunning, the views are incredible, it’s cosy and the staff is super friendly and we really liked the food. We were there during the low season (May) and the hotel was almost empty which was a huge plus because we had the entire place for ourselves.

United KingdomCold showers which were supposed to be hot. This was a real downside for us. Especially after telling the staff and them not doing anything to try and rectify the situation. Very bright lights outside our room which kept me awake. The manager assured me they would be switched off on our second night, but didn’t fulfill his promise. The wait time in the restaurant is a joke. They were completely overwhelmed even if it wasn’t particularly busy. My kids pasta dish took 1.5 to arrive. Another couple waited over an hour just for a coffee so left. This is a real a shame as the quality of the food was very good. They just really need to figure out the time management within the kitchen.
Great to be inside the Tayrona national park. Food was very good at the restaurant. Hot tub on the balcony was great! Excellent massage

SwitzerlandNestled in the middle of the jungle, the property is beautifully integrated into its surroundings. The dinner was delicious, and the menu offers a great variety of options. Dairo was very helpful and attentive. For a one-night stay, this accommodation is sufficient.

SwitzerlandIsolation is not great but it is expected in this kind of construction, I wish people would be more considerate with others, not the fault of the hotel but the guests upstairs woke us up at 5am yelling, running and rolling their suitcases.
It is beautiful and surrounded by nature, loved seeing/hearing some animals (toads, birds, foxes, monkeys). Breakfast and dinner were good. I liked the jacuzzi reservation system. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I read some people complained about the lack of hot water but with the heat in the area I quite enjoyed the temperature.

United KingdomShowers are cold but this is OK given the temperature of the jungle! There was only 1 desert available which was very small - but delicious. In these temperatures we need ice cream! It is a 10 minute bus and then a 1 hour walk to get to the nice beaches.
The staff were amazing, particularly Anderson on reception and the head waiter! Room was comfy and bug free. The team helped to clean my trainers at short notice which was very much appreciated. The team gave loads of recommendations and info and even called us over when they spotted a Boa constrictor near the main road. The setting was beautiful. The massages were great. Beautifully manicured gardens. Try the Panacota.
