When you arrive at 11 pm and there are no staff to checkin, when the staff arrive 15 or 20 minutes later, the least they can do is apologise. The “buffet breakfast” is somewhat pathetic, and the coffee the worst in Colombia.

Hallway was a bit noisy.

Very friendly staff. There’s no lift but they helped carrying the bags upstairs. I loved the traditional (savoury) breakfast!

We had a deluxe room with balcony on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, the balcony overlooked Carrera 33, one of the busiest, noisiest roads in the city. The door and window to the balcony were well soundproofed but noise still penetrated. I'm talking about loud motorbikes and bellowing diesel busses. There were a lot of car/bus/motorcycle horns used, adding to the noise. Unfortunately, unless we kept the room entry door open, there was no other source of fresh air than to open the balcony door. The air conditioner worked fine but used recirculated air. Consequently, the air became quite stale when we were sleeping. Apparently, the 4 rooms with balconies ALL faced the street. Noises also echoed from the hall, even with the door closed. I would recommend avoiding a room with a balcony unless you can sleep through loud, intermittent noise.

The room and the bed were comfortable. The breakfast was continental and filling. There was a different fruit each day. The location of the hotel was quite central, which made it convenient for walking. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and cooperative but only one male server spoke some English. We speak a little Spanish but found their speaking speed very fast. Hurray for Google Translate!

The air conditioner produced an awful noise. Could not use at night.

The sound in the building travelled. If you are a light sleeper then ear plugs could be a good idea.

We had a room without windows. Would be nice if you could clearly see the differences per room on booking. Also the bed is very wide but a bit short for tall people.

NOTHING!!! I loved this place!!

Wow!!! This place was amazing. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. I had friends visit and was never charged anything extra like other places. My original room was not ready at 11am, but the staff allowed me to shower and freshen up at another room for no extra cost. Other hotels would have charged for early check-in. I left to explore the town and when I came back, my suite was ready and all my luggage was there. I have worked in customer service all my life and the service at Hotel Quinta de Cabecera was impressive. I felt like family instead of a customer. They even went as far as calling my room to make sure I did not miss breakfast. I will come back here each time when visiting Bucaramanga.

Not much natural light in my room, but that is typical of this price point. They have rooms with large windows if you are willing to pay a bit more. Desk has a glass surface, so make sure to bring a mouse pad if you are going to be working.

Close to lots of shopping and restaurants, easy to get a cab, easy to get anywhere in the city by cab, staff was highly professional, room was clean and they timed the cleaning for when I was out, AC worked well, plenty of hot water, mini-fridge, fresh towels daily, inexpensive laundry service with clothing left folded in my room (on time) when I was out, straightforward and honest dealing, breakfast was very good.

Very clean hotel with huge and very comfortable beds, plenty of room and free parking just opposite the hotel. Everyone was very willing to help us in anyway. Highly recommended.

Although the windows are soundproofed, you can still hear the traffic a little outside.

The room was excellent, comfortable and very clean. The staff, as always, was really helpful and accommodating. They make sure you have everything you need. And the breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from.
