How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I requested the room with the balcony (505 I think) that I’d stayed at previously which was awesome. I was bringing my husband this time and wanted him to enjoy the view too. I guess it wasn’t available but the room we were given instead was perfectly pleasant if a little small.
It’s very convenient and the staff are helpful and friendly. Overall very good value for money

We loved everything about this place! It is in a safe and walkable neighborhood close to the stadium. My daughters liked that there were 2 shopping malls close. Excellent interior design! Great food!

the hotel is located next to the mall. It has a great spa on top op the hotel with sauna, jacuzzi and steam room, and a nice view. The room is very good with everything you need. Breakfast is good, and my dinner was amazing! The staff is very friendly, with a special thanks to the guy that helped me to my room and even brought up a document. Great!

Not enough kitchen utensils (only a pot, a pan, 2 plates, 2 forks, a knife, 2 spoons, no dish clothes, no dish detergent, no paper towers in an otherwise adequately equipped kitchen)
New and clean. Quite a few supermarkets nearby. Easy to get taxi or uber to city centre.

Breakfast was good, location was good, close enought to El Cable (5 mins in a cab) and other places but far enough so no noise. Really a gem. Visited for la feria, entonces.....

The breakfast had a lot of points for improvement, the bread was all, only one option of eggs. Things that can make this hotel to excel even more: a mirror in the room. They room has 2 mirrors inside the bathroom which makes difficult to get ready if it is two people.
The room was very spacious and the staff was very friendly

The food was not the best considering Colombia is known for great food. There were not many options for a light dinner.
Quiet room despite being close to downtown. The staff very friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Have a set of plates and cups, and utensils fir two people. Just one cup makes no sense.
There should be paper towels available in the kitchen. The TV log on system is not friendly, that tech is overdone. No need.

The elevator seemed to have a mind of its own. This was only a small problem. The front desk staff, while great, did not speak much if any English. This was not a problem for me but others who don't speak Spanish may have an issue. I suggest Google Translate or another language app for those who don't speak Spanish.
This property is excellent. I enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff was fantastic. Jhon was especially helpful. The breakfast was great. The store across the street was also convenient for snacks. I enjoyed dinner at Ednia Cocina and the nearby Alquimia speakeasy was a fun place for excellent drinks. Both are within walking distance of the hotel. I suggest that visitors download the Taxia Life app if using taxis while in Manizales. Uber was not available. This taxi app, however, was a great substitute. There are also many taxis available in front of the adjacent mall.
