We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesI had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms were neatly cleaned, I encountered some significant issues. The room service staff were quite rude, and one morning, they even opened our door without knocking while we were still asleep. To make matters worse, we found housekeeping's children playing with our infant’s toys while cleaning the room upon our return. Additionally, my request for extra towels was denied, which was disappointing. The car garage located near the rooms was quite noisy, with frequent sounds of car alarms and slammed doors that disrupted our stay. The shower water pressure was also problematic, often dropping to a trickle within a minute, making it difficult for everyone to shower without causing a logjam. Overall, while the hotel had its positives, these issues really impacted our experience.
The location was incredibly convenient, with a variety of great restaurants just a short walk away. The receptionists and the hotel owner were exceptionally pleasant, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I also appreciated the 24-hour surveillance, which added an extra layer of security and peace of mind.

GermanyThe laundry service is a rip-off - make sure to haggle a price beforehand, and don't give them the laundry if they just tell you "we'll tell you what it costs afterwards", as you'll be surprised about how much it can cost to wash a pair of socks. Also, the property is not soundproofed at all, and staff is somewhat reluctant to act when your neighbour's music is so noisy you even hear it at the reception downstairs.
The location is OK, although the surroundings are a bit spotty at night - better take a taxi. As the hotel door is locked from inside and you have to wait for the receptionist to wake up and open it, better ask your taxi driver to wait until you're in.
