No visible signs of any recycling. No wardrobe or closet in bedroom as promised. Extra fee charged if payment by card. No bin in bedroom. Bedroom lighting not brilliant. Remote control to aircon didn't work, so difficult to adjust. Needs more hooks in bathroom. Bathroom mirror not over sink. No much preparation area in kitchen, and not many eating spots.

Hostel located a couple of blocks from beach and 'centre'. COP 25,000 by taxi from Santa Marta bus terminal (set rate). Friendly staff, generally clean, locked gates at night (but bell to ring for access). Own key to room. Plunge pool to cool down in. Very small basic kitchen (3 ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, juicer, pots, pans, crockery etc). Basic breakfast provided (eggs, cheese, toast, bit of fruit, coffee or chocolate) at 'sister' hostel, 10 minutes walk. Generally quiet, but usual south American background noise levels, especially at weekends. Tour information poster for diving etc (good tour company). Very hot, but aircon in large bedroom (it did struggle at times). Basic shelving for clothes storage. Sofa, table, bedside lamp. Hooks for clothes. We had various issues that the manager/receptionist (Juan, great guy), and other staff did everything in their power to resolve, but some things were out of their control (like the plumber not turning up to fix a leak, or the internet company not fixing the router on time). The rating reflects what the hostel should be, and not taking into account the issues we had, because Juan worked with us to get things sorted, or we came to an understanding when the problem wasn't an instant fix, and he tried to ensure we weren't inconvenienced too much. We did encounter more problems than we should have, but hopefully they have been resolved since we left.

The kitchen is small and cluttered with very little work top space but it is usable. No bedside lamp.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. Nice sun terrace, Good WiFi. The plunge pool is a bonus. Take away breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate and at the price per night I was surprised it was included. Air-conditioning was effective. Close to bus stop for Santa Marta. Would happily stay again, no worries.

I think it could be a really nice place there, if they did a little more to make it comfortable and social. There are hardly any chairs, just an open space with tiny pool. No possibility to chill and read a book outside. No comfortable chairs or hammocks.

The room was really big with space and light and comfortable bed (rather hard mattress, but I like that). The second day I got a little breakfast. It was just unclear when that will be (almost 9). Fridge etc. is there to do your own food.

I felt i was sleeping in a cave. Other rooms were ok but our was dark humid and the bed half broken. Bed sheets and sink deserve a good clean

The pool was closed when we came but the next day they were fixing it. I don’t know if you can go inside now. The breakfast are very simple (egg, bread, coffee), would love a fruit.

What a pleasure to finally see a big bed!! (180cm) The rooms are great, a lot of place and a wardrobe to put our stuff. I also enjoyed to separate bathroom and the family that were very nice. You can eat also there for lunch and diner and it’s very tasty (a fish for 30k).

We did laudry there and when they returned the clothes we noticed there were at least 3 pieces missing. We asked if they could look for them but they answered we didn't give it to them... after we went to the terrace and found there the lost cloths and some more we didn't notice that were missing. Also it was quite expensive for the service we received.

The place is nice and the rooms are clean and confortable. Breakfast was good too (even though the second day we asked if there were no fruits like the day before and they gave them to us like it was a favor they were making us, it wasn't nice).

The bathroom in the first room had an issue with the water We asked to solve the problem in the bathroom, which was not possible, so we moved rooms the next night But the second room was really small and the bed was really uncomfortable, for the same price unfortunately The pool didn't seem clean so we didn't use it Breakfast was not served in the hostel but elsewhere, and was not good or tasty

A friendly family runs this chill place. Close to almost everything in the town, but not to close to bars and the incredibly loud music. Nice and clean and has almost anything you could ask for.
