Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe food was sadly the worst we have had in our 3 weeks in Colombia, and against a premium price. The ceviche still had scales on parts and the rest was mediocre as well. The guacamole was good though.
Great pool, vibe and hotel grounds. The cabins are amazing, with a makeshift bath that does not look comfortable but it certainly is! Food was not as good as we would expect for such an upscale place.

SlovakiaMosquitos! While mosquitos and biting insects were a constant issue for us throughout Colombia, what really disappointed us here was that there were already dozens of mosquitos waiting for us inside the room when we checked in. Unfortunately, despite the staff’s efforts with mosquito nets and repellents, we couldn’t get the situation under control. The main issue is that the doors and windows are not properly sealed, so no matter what you do, mosquitos keep getting in. This seriously affected what could have been a perfect experience. The restaurant: The restaurant was actually quite good compared to other (even more expensive) places we stayed at in Colombia, but it still has room to improve. After a few days, we ran out of new meal options. We also had one unpleasant hygienic incident during our stay. To be fair, we addressed both the mosquito problem and the restaurant issue with the manager, and he took our feedback seriously. He seemed genuinely committed to making improvements, and we believe future guests will likely have a better experience.
It’s either a new accommodation or under new management—either way, it’s clearly on its way to becoming a wonderful place to stay, though it still needs some refinement. This was our first accommodation in Colombia, and honestly, at the time we didn’t realize how welcoming and eager to improve the staff were compared to typical Colombian standards. The setting is really beautiful—surrounded by clean, vibrant nature, with many birds you can hear and see all around. The facilities are lovely, and we especially enjoyed the massage service. One of the best parts of our stay was meeting Karlos. He’s one of the rare people in the area who speaks English fluently, and he was not only incredibly helpful but also became a real friend to us. The manager was also excellent—always present and available around the property, doing his best to help with anything we needed. And a special thank-you for being so kind to our son, even surprising him with a lovely Christmas gift. We also want to mention a mistake we made while booking—we accidentally reserved the same dates, but for January 2025 instead of December 2024! We only realized this on the way to the hotel, thanks to their driver. Despite the confusion (and the booking being non-refundable), they cooperated with us kindly and helped us rebook a different room for an additional fee (which was only because the original room wasn't available and they upgraded us to a higher-tier one).

AustraliaIt’a quite far from Santa Marta - you can get the bus for £2.00 per person or a taxi is cerca £40 from town.
The property is beautiful and the rooms are extremely well kept and put together too. The cleaners come in each day and do a great job but the best thinks about this hotel is the staff! One person in particular is ruby who works in the restaurant team and is exceptional at her job. It helps to speak Spanish here but if you don’t then no worries, they ensure you get what you need and make it work (we do speak Spanish). Ruby though was a stand out and thank you for all you did for us!

United StatesFor the price point and for the luxury branding they aspire to, they’re missing a few key amenities. Number 1 is lack of hot water in the rooms. This was something I was utterly surprised by. Secondly, the food needs a lot of improvement. The breakfast menu is very basic and repetitive- there should be some variation or, if it’s to be the same menu each day, then there needs to be food stations with abundant options. The breakfast is a buffet but it is served by the attendants in order to prevent waste. I appreciate this effort but it felt a bit “cafeteria” where you get what you get. Apparently you’re not supposed to get seconds but this wasn’t really explained ; ultimately we were served but it was awkward. Lunch and dinner need to have healthy beach resort options like plentiful salads and non fried seafood options. Third, with all that beachfront, the property needs rows of chaise lounges with umbrellas, cushions and towel service (towels were given at the bar and there was always a shortage) and on going drink and snack service - a little flag on the chaise to signal the waiter would be easy to do.
Beautiful location on the beach. The pool area is beautiful and the dining area is also lovely. The staff is incredibly polite, warm and friendly. The property is meticulously maintained at all times

SwitzerlandEverything was exceptional, from the friendly staff, to the facilities of the hotel, the pool, the bar, the cocktails, the amazing food. This was the most amazing experience I had in an hotel. The romantic dinner on the beach was the pinnacle of all. Book this place, you will never regret it.

United Kingdom1) I don't know if the waves are always as strong as they were when I was there but they felt too strong to go in any deeper than waist deep. Certainly not for swimming. 2) The internet access is patchy, both WiFi and 4G. 3) The breakfast was "average"
1) Very spacious property with long beach and sea frontage 2) Well maintained, all in good order. 3) Generous room with lovely ocean view and open air shower

SpainDrinks are the worst! Mojito very expensive and it didn’t have alcohol, just lemon, hierbabuena, sugar and ice. Other cocktails the same thing. I asked them to review the mojito because it was not good. They didn’t do anything. They didn’t give me any answer o possibility. So no mojito in this trip. We also scheduled a horse walk around the beach at 4:00pm. Horses never came. At 5:00 the hotel said sorry it was a misunderstood with the agency.
Restaurant is great! Food is delicious!!! Service is outstanding. Everybody is friendly and smiling all the time. Ready for anything you need.

United StatesWe found the taste of food pretty mediocre.
We had a very nice stay in one of the spacious upstairs rooms with nice terrace and stylish bathroom. Location right by the beach is very good if you are looking for a quiet place to stay. The pool is large and very clean. Towels are provided. The next town - Buritaca - can be reached via an interesting 30 min. walk on the beach where lots of birds can be observed. Breakfast is seved buffet style and offers a large choice of sweet and savory items.

PortugalPLEASE READ. after reading the comments we had lots of doubts of booking here, but thankfully we booked. in the soroundings there is no better hotel than this, we were noisy and checked at least 6 other hotels around the beach area. this is the only one with a huge pool and rooms just in front of the sea. you can see that the hotel is new and they are working a lot on improvements, and they care about what you think and need and try to solve it. what was most important for us about this hotel was the deep state of relaxation we managed to achieve here, everyone is in the same mood of relaxing you don’t have noisy neighbours in the hotel or party people, is a hotel for PURE relaxation, so much that we cancelled all our exploring trips around and just stay there enjoying the pool and the ocean lol. regarding the food prices, they go between 8-12 euros which we didn’t find extra expensive, but we also went to the towns close by and got some salad ingredients for when we wanted to cook something for us. mosquitos, there are, but is not only here is in the whole area so if this is a deal breaker for you don’t come to the tayrona park. In general we can asure there is no better hotel close to this one, with the quality and style it offers without looking cheap

The staff is amazing especially Paola. At 11pm they managed to get a tour for Tayrona park the day after. Furthermore the place is a paradise the beach in front is beautiful, with very few people. Tbh I preferred their beach than the ones in Tayrona.
