Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There is not a place to hang out.
Excellent value for me, and quiet and peaceful despite being so close to other crowded places.

Loved this place vs. the beach hostels. Both good for different occasions but I like the more tranquil and secluded vibe there is here compared to the super social hostels for certain stays!! Bed is hard ish. Loud music next door on Thursday and Saturday (Friday was just karaoke- not too loud and not too late at least during my stay). Also you can go to the parties at any of the hostels down the beach if you want

The bed could be more comfortable and the bathroom could use an update.
The location is great, right on the beach. The lodges are clean, also the surroundings very nicely maintained. The hostel next door has good food, sunbeds, very nice staff.

Beach Paradise Very simple, but at the same time has all the comfort you need. Best place I've been at! I was able to connect with nature, but room was very comfortable and I had access to all I needed.

It was right at the beach. They had a little terrace and a fan in the room, which was sufficient for the heat.

Very few facilities e.g. no drinking water and no wifi (you have to go next door for both which was easy)
Nice beach location and relatively cheap private rooms compared to the other places along the beach, helpful staff. Close to lots of other bars and restaurants

Overall our stay was good but the bathroom smelt very bad, and the linens and towels smelt too strongly of bleach.
Great location, very helpful staff. The individual rooms/pods and very nice. It is possible to use the facilities of the hostel next door (restaurant, swimming pool etc). There is a fan in the room to keep cool at night.

The WiFi is pretty poor, we just used the bar next doors WiFi when we needed it which worked out okay for us as we were only there 1 night.
Wow what a gorgeous place! Location is great right on the beach, the huts are big enough and have a lovely terrace and three owner is lovely. You can use the restaurant and pool in the hotel next door which was a massive bonus. Would definitely return.

They have no AC so it can be a little hot at night. They have fans tho, I think it's because they use solar energy to supply the whole thing so maybe an AC would be too heavy for it
Pretty much everything, close to the beach, great restaurants and facilities close, all was good.

The sheets had a few stains on them, they smelt freshly washed so definitely just a stain but still not ideal. The door of the hut opens if pulled when locked so don’t take valuables and can’t lock the door from the inside without the use of a stick wedged between them. Lumpy pillows.
Beautiful clean huts right on the beach. Superb views and right next door to Los Hermanos hostel which serves food/drinks all day and has a pool and loads of activities. Nice and quiet, you can hear the music from next door but the room fan drowns it out to still sleep well etc :)

That the staff did not cleaned the rooms everyday as it is intended in a hotel.
Beach and view. It had many hostels nearby where you could do several activities.
