Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Staff was a bit short-spoken, we didn’t really feel welcomed. The hostel wasn’t very social and felt more like a hotel.
Good for a night or two, beds were confortable and the shower was probably the best shower we have had in South America. The area around it is very nice and you find heaps of options to go out for dinner.

We has a room facing the street and you could hear the street noise. It didn't bother us but might be a concern for some.
The location is great - in a neighborhood with restaurants and bars and close to the clubs and activity in the center of Poblano. The hostel has outdoor spaces to relax.

Needs more hanging space in the rooms.
Clean, modern, good hot shower, good location, well organised. Nice communal balcony area.

I stayed in the 4 ppl dorm and it is located in the ground floor. You will hear door opening and ppl checking-in noise in the mid night. The pillow is too soft.
Good and safe location.Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Value for money. Friendly staff.

The first two nights I spent in a dorm on the main floor next to the entrance. It was so loud, with the front door slamming frequently and people yelling in the corridor, that I barely slept. I think the staff can enforce quiet hours better. Once I upgraded to a private room upstairs, I was able to get rested.
Remodeled property in the best location (safe, central to everything in Poblano, 10 mins walk from metro, relatively quiet street). New furniture, extremely clean, beautiful bathrooms with marble tiling and rain showers. I upgraded from a dorm to a private room and the private room was beautiful and comfortable. Helpful staff. FYI, this is not a traditional hostel in that there is no common area. It's a mix of dorms and private rooms with facilities that are more of a solid 3 star hotel. When I was there it seemed a lot of those staying in the dorms are from a common country (non English/Spanish speaking) and hung with each other. So if you're solo and looking for a social environment, this is likely not a good fit. But for a clean bed in a modern facility in the best location, this offers great value.

The only downside is that there's no fun public space to sit in, But other than that it is perfect!
The staff were amazing! Sandra and Dabeiba made us amazing breakfasts. The workers at the front desk helped us with what we needed. The rooms are super clean and nice, they look like a hotel room. Dorms too, lots of space and place to put your things. The location is perfect, it's 8 minutes walk to the subway and 15 minutes to Provenza so we walked everywhere.

Staff members are not very nice. Didn’t feel welcome and they didn’t know anything about the city, etc. We ask for a few information and they didn’t want to help out.

Nothing bad about this, but the atmosphere is more like a hotel than a hostel.
Everything is completely new and the staff was 100% helpful, polite and accommodating. The breakfast includes a fruit bowl, granola and yogurt. A healthy option compared to other hostels.

People use common area at the balcony to talk on their phones and if your room is next to it, they may keep you awake. Apart from that, you shouldnt use that area for work during evening and night, and cannot smoke at all, which you wouldnt expect from place in col. You also need to knock and then wait for staff to open you a door. There is no other wait to enter a building. Small room without windows is also quite unusual. All in all place is okay but the rating is way to high.

We booked two beds in dorms. Some guy checked in late, into our room, which is fine, but the receptionist who checked him in burst into our room loudly, and turned on the lights on while we were sleeping. Besides, the people in our dorm were behaving rude, which is not the hostel’s fault, but that made us ask them to switch to a private room. They didn’t let us cancel our other reservation for the dorm room so we ended up paying double the price. The private room was also disappointing, because people were talking loudly outside our room, waking us up early every day. Overall a bad hostel experience.

The stuff wasn’t nice at all. I arrived with a booking reservation and they told me the hostel is full and I need to cancel my reservation. Also didn’t try to help after what happened. The place is very nice but for me it does not worth it.
