Reviews of Villa Candelaria Hostel

Almost the perfect place and for the cost it is hard to fault it. Super friendly staff who welcomed us in when we unexpectedly arrived 8 hours before check in! There are nice large common areas, a well equipped kitchen and nice covered courtyard spaces. The shower was brilliant, good pressure and actually had hot water. There is no key just a code so that was handy for not worrying about losing it. It had a good overall feeling/vibe and we felt safe and secure. Perfect location for exploring the Candelaria area and Monserrate. The hostel is situated on the edge of the park and there is a small Oxxo convenience store just 2 minutes walk and a larger supermarket about 10 minutes walk away (an abundance of restaurants and cafes are much closer). No road noise and walls seemed pretty thick. Highly recommend

Minor things but the door bell was a bit disturbing, the lack of signage outside was frustrating when first arriving and no hand towels in the bathroom. The mattress and pillows were very firm but this seems typical in Colombia. The bathrooms and kitchen weren't the cleanest but very good for a hostel and especially at the price point.

The staff was very gentle and helpful. The place was really nice too. I had to work and the wifi signal also was good to handle videocalls.

The location and the price of the hostel were great. It was always kept very clean and the staff was very friendly. They have a shared kitchen and refrigerator.

The bed we had was very noisy and uncomfortable. It was cold in Bogota, and the hostel was quite chilly at night.

Väga tore koht. Nice personal, helpfull, kind, good kitchen, it is in the Center where is a lot of noise pitside but the hostel is quite. Simple and good.

Super friendly and helpful staff, rooms are nothing special but cozy and clean and the common area is small but very comfortable, also the bathrooms and kitchen were really clean.

The weekend receptionist has a child that is super noisy and wakes up the whole hostel early in the morning playing extremely loud YouTube videos. We were very annoyed at this easily preventable issue. The WiFi in room 102 does not work.

Hostal is in a great location in Candelaria close to public transport Transmilenio and everything in Candelaria. The privat room is basic but clean and there is a kitchen you can use. The breakfast is basic but for free. We could check in earlier which was perfect as our night bus arrived super early in Bogota.

In a good location. Free breakfast which included eggs and cheap for a private room.

Staff not very friendly. Was woken up really early by night staff chatting loudly at the desk in the common area (which our room opened on to). Bathroom had a bad smell and water was not very warm.
