The 4 bed dorm I stayed in was very small, so not much space to leave your luggage. When it rains you cannot use the terrace in the backyard and then it feels a bit small because there are not too many bigger areas to hang out.

I absolutely loved the family vibes that this hostel has. When coming back after a day of discovering Medellin it didn't feel like coming back to a hostel, but rather coming back home. Very cute place and perfect to get in touch with other travelers. Good and well equipped kitchen. Just a 5 min walk to the metro station and the area felt very safe, also to walk at night. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Perfect place for me to stay in Medellin.

Good location near Floresta metro station, with lots of shops, restaurants etc close by. Good communal areas/facilities. Decent sized kitchen, open areas front and back to relax in. Staff were constantly cleaning which was good. Everyone staying at the hostel when i was there was very happy with it.

The Yellow House is super clean, the staff is very helpful, the kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook, the showers are great with strong water pressure and hot water. It has a nice back yard and front yard to enjoy. I absolutely recommend The Yellow House to anyone travel to Medellin. It's close to some excellent restaurants and parks. The Metro is a five minute walk. The yellow house is awesome. You will definitely not regret your stay at the Yellow House. I kept extended my stay.

Was really good! Comfortable beds, clean, had a little outside place to sit and a hammock, kitchen was well equiped. The Hostel is just 5 minutes walking to the metro station and the area is safe to walk solo in the night. The owner and the staff were really friendly and were helping with recommmodations or how to get somewhere. When I was staying there, they had a guide for the communa 13 tour in the hostel, which was perfect.

The one dorm is rather cramped. The backyard could be developed into something better.

My third year in a row there. Why? The location is excellent, in a residential district of Medellin near metro, restaurants, parks, etc. Except for the occasional dogs barking, the neighborhood is quiet and safe and the proximity to two parks is nice. Plus the owner, Raul, went out of his way to make sure that my bunk was comfortable. Most everyone on staff only spoke Spanish; this made me have to understand and speak Spanish, which was one of my objectives in going this time.

I enjoyed staying at the yellow house I extended my stay. It's an extremely safe neighborhood to walk around day or night you'll always feel safe. It's location is awesome very close to two beautiful parks and also close to so many amazing restaurants. It's down the street from the metro station which makes it so easy to travel around the city. The showers are awesome with great water pressure and hot water. The kitchen has everything you'll need. There's an excellent front yard and back yard. You will not regret your stay at the yellow house. I highly recommend it.

All the cooking pots were aluminum..I like iron and steel.

I enjoyed the wonderful staff. They were friendly even while working to keep the place clean throughout the day, were ever vigilant when it came to safety, helpful when I wanted to use the kitchen. The kitchen had what was necessary to comfortably prepare and cook what and how I mostly like. Good coffee every morning. Hot showers god pressure. Area to enjoy the sun and dry my clothes or eat outside. Surrounded by Good neighborhood grocery stores and restaurants. Had my own little fan or bed. And much more. I enjoyed my time there experiencing the relaxing comfort of the atmosphere.

located in a safety and peaceful area, close to the metro station, a lot of restaurant and supermarket choices. staff is cleaning the house everyday, very clean in the kitchen, bathroom. just remind that it is not a party-hostel, which is my favorite part, I like here, a quiet place with nice local neighborhood, so that I extend my stay immediately.

Absolutely super accomodations In a super safe neighborhood with many parks and great restaurants. One block from the Floresta metro station which makes traveling around the city super easy. Raul and Kevin are so respectful and they keep the house so clean. I booked for one night and kept extending my stay.

Everything was great. The facilities reflect the cheap price, but for that price, it's a great value.

Perfect location -- in a neighborhood with lots of local vibes around it (check out Parque La Floresta at night), but near a metro stop to easily go to any part of the city. Also near the border of Laureles which has many upscale types of dining options, especially if you're happening to crave Western burgers, pizzas, and pastas. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly -- gave me a Metro card, let me practice my broken Spanish with them, helped with laundry, etc. It's a relaxed hostel -- perfect place for just hanging out.
