For people who want to get away from the world, sit at the edge of the desert and enjoy a natural stark beauty, yet don't want to be hot sweaty and uncomfortable this is an amazing amazing place. All the amenities you could need so long as you plan for food beforehand as local options are very limited. The barbecue and burners allow you to make your own food or planning in advance to order from a local place is an option if you don't want to work. The private pool is fantastic as is the wood burning stove.

The (absentee) owner made an effort to make himself available by phone and WhatsApp - which was probably far more convenient for Israeli travelers than for American ones. The AC worked well. Appreciated the water and hot water dispenser in the lobby, as well as the refrigerator in the room. The owner kindly arranged a taxi to the airport - but did not mention that the driver would accept payment only in shekels-cash (no credit card or US dollars).

The guest house was a bit farther than I expected from the airport, given the word "airport" in its name. It might be less expensive and less trouble to stay in Tel Aviv and take the train to the airport...unless one is traveling on Shabbat ... Transportation TO the airport was provided - but unlike in the US, I needed to pay for it -- in cash. This should have been mentioned in the English-language Bookings listing.

The location of the hotel is superb - at Merkaz haKarmel (upper Haifa), near Bahai Gardens, Karmelit, Zoo, restoraunts and coffee shops. All the rooms face amazing view of Haifa Bay at the northern direction. The staff at the reception are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is dated and it shows... had issues with AC (though fixed immediately) and the cleanliness is not exactly spotless. Free parking options are very limited.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and attentive specially Morad at the front desk. Breakfast was great. A selection of salads eggs dips and yogurts. Very close to the market.

The rooftop swimming pool is quite small, closes early and has defrential hours for religious visitors which is thoughtful but on the other hand we couldn't swim together.
