Positive section of review
Property was well located. The bartenders and staff at Selva Restaurant and Sonora Bar (Maxine, Thomas, Marnix, Andre, Banti, Diego, Gabriel) were amazing and made us feel so welcomed and at home with their warm and homely hospitality and service. The hotel should be humbled that they have such amazing staff and should replace the scowling front office staff instead.

The front office staff were rather dismissive and almost didn’t give us a room at 3pm even though it’s a guaranteed check in time. And when they finally did give us a room, it was the wrong room - a king size bed instead of two singles. Disappointment was the understatement of how we felt especially since we’ve confirmed our booking twice via email.

Location was great, easy bus ride from Schipol, short walk to the Rijks and Van Gogh museums. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Was great to have a lift as stairs were narrow and steep. Nice to have a mini fridge. Bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet at night.

There was a too sweet, artificial smell in the room. I expected the room to be small, but the shower was tiny!
