I had a layover of 14 hours due to wether. I had to book a last minute hotel to stay in Houston. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean and comfortable it was, specially after spending all day in airports. In addition, the breakfast is included, I also was expecting coffee and maybe a bagel, the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. Again, it was really good. The staff was also very helpful and quick to help.

Positive section of review
Its location right next to the Willis tower makes it the perfect starting point for exploring the city. On walking or Divvy (biking) distance from the river, Millennium Park, Union Station, the West Loop and other hotspots. A lot of windows made the room very light and a pleasant place to stay. The blinds do a great job keeping that light out at night.

The rooftop bar is mostly inside and can be very loud and chaotic. The TV could use a bit more mainstream streaming apps, it currently has only Netflix & YouTube and some lesser known apps but missing others like Prime or D+. Oh and not all elevators go to all floors, so double check before entering.

The gym was great with lots of choice, multiple different bikes including a peloton. Room was a good size.

The staff were not very helpful; I checked in and told me nothing about the property, breakfast, where to find the elevators, WiFi, gym, the pool, they didn’t even tell me my room number. The conditioner and shampoo provided includes wheat which means it can not be used if you are gluten free. The Marketplace they have in the lobby is poorly stocked.

The room was dark and very out dated. Breakfast was not nice and served with plastic cutlery and polystyrene plates. The fire alarm went off about midnight and there was very little organisation from the staff. One girl on reception sat on the phone and another guy just walked about taking pictures and was talking to his partner on the phone. No-one told us what was going on. Guests walking in and out unchallenged. Waited for over an hour before getting told by a passing fireman we were fine to come back in. We are not from America and we were very scared with what was going on.
