The kitchen area you can use is small it has a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and a very small fridge. You can hear the train but it is the city so don't expect silence.

Good size room, very comfortable. Safe and secure location. Lots of restaurants, bars, and 2 good supermarkets. I felt very comfortable here for 2 nights.

It felt like the property could use a good scrubbing to bring it back to life; the bathroom and bedroom windows need screens, especially if you want to open them for air flow. The room fan was sufficient for May but I wonder how it would be if it was much hotter. You get used to the trains which start at the crack of dawn.

It was located in a neighborhood filled with restaurants and walking distance to the central mall. I liked that it was small, only 10 rooms and had an internal courtyard and several other gathering areas. It was very economical. The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. The best thing was the advice that Juan provided when I needed help. A translation app was invaluable since I don’t speak Spanish.

room a bit small to accommodate two large luggages. My friend has to put one luggage in the door. No hair dryer but can be borrowed over the reception. No glasses for brushing teeth but can be made available by asking the counter.

conveniently located next town centre which can be reached by walking. usually very quiet environment except sometimes the train whistle. Staff are helpful and friendly but don't speak much English. Much common area for working. Very nice internal decoration. Breakfast at US $6 is reasonable. Internet speed is satisfactory.

I have stayed at this location often when coming in and out of Costa Rica. I live in the south of CR and when traveling have to stay in the city on either end. This place offers a great location to Barrio Escalantes abundant restaurants, bars, and easy walking to parks and Saturday green Feria' as well as museums. It's not a fancy place but its safe and clean and adequet and the staff is always great!

Noise carries: slamming doors, voices from lobby… Some elements in disrepair and hot water in shower unpredictable.

Grand spaces, plenty of common lounge and courtyard for working and eating. Super friendly staff; one of whom very handsome. Excellent location with great restaurant scene and park within easy walking distance.

Nice and welcoming staff, family run. Located in an old charming building, with an internal courtyard. A few minutes away from restaurants and bars. Very well located for going to the museums, Mercado Central, etc.

The downside is there is a very loud train nearby that starts early in the morning and goes until about 10:00 pm.

I really like the location as the area it is in is close to many restaurants, stores, and parks that you can easily walk to. This hotel is very basic, but is very reasonably priced and is good for a one night stay.

This small hotel was charming. The location was good for an easy ride or good walk to the main plaza. The staff was excellent letting us leave our bags on the ladt day while we shopped and finding us a taxi to Alajuela. I likedthis moderately piced hotel.
