For the price it’s a great place to stay. Very homely, clean and comfortable. I stayed here for one night and it’s close to various amenities in Alajuela. The transport option to the airport was great as well

Only stayed one night as it was convenient for an early flight! It’s great they offer an early shuttle service if you need (10$) ! For the hotel itself - The decor and style inside is really nice! The common area is very cool! The room was very cosy and comfy! I would definitely stay there again! The owners are also very helpful and communicative

Charming place, much more than I expected from a near-to-the-airport hotel. The room was spacious, very comfortable and beautifully designed with retro style furniture and accessories. The bathroom clean, with good water pressure (a luxury in Costa Rica). The patio and the fully equipped kitchen, very nice breakfast which is available anytime throughout the day- just grab whatever you need from the fridge- makes you feel at home. Free parking right in front of the hotel is very convenient. It's a family business, run by absolutely charming Silvia who grew up in this house, and her sons. They really make you feel like you came to your family. Thank you!

Airplane noise but that's to be expected being this close to the airport.

Hot shower, nice interior design, sweet family background story of the property. Breakfast was super flexible and Esteban was very kind and helpful, especially picking us up and dropping us again at the airport. Meticulously clean, comfy bed and bedsheets.

No hooks or towel racks in bathroom.

Location is walkable to restaurants, churches, and close to airport. Transportation to airport is provided for nominal charge. Breakfast all day, big communal kitchen, fully equipped. Nice courtyard garden and comfy vintage home decor setting.

Really nice place to spend a couple of nights after landing in Costa Rica. Esteban was so nice and was really helpful. For $5 he will take you to or from the airport. The breakfast is available all day, you can pop some toast in the toaster any time. Lovely garden and communal kitchen area. The bedroom was also really clean. We will stay here again before we fly home from San Jose Make sure you sign the wall :)

Easy and friendly communication with Juancito through WhatsApp regarding airport pickup, gave us good recommendations. Comfortable cute hotel with kitchen facilities, diy breakfast which was simple but nice. Nice room with a fan and air-conditioning, and bathroom with warm water. Strong wifi. Everything you need for a stay close to the airport before or after travelling.

Nothing- it was lovely!

Excellent stay! Super clean, well organized, beautiful home and courtyard - great to have supplies in the fridge to make breakfast or a snack at any time of the day. The beds were super comfortable also. Less than 10 mins from the airport and the 10$ shuttle at 4am (it’s $5 before midnight) was very convenient and perfectly on time. We loved the fresh fruit in the morning also! Thanks for the great stay.

The hotel was exactly as advertised. Very quiet surroundings although it's located in the very centre. Breakfast is simple and help-and-make-yourself. We used the shuttle service: pick up was easy, smootly and cost us only $5 for 2 people.

My room was adorable and was super clean and very comfortable. Wifi was strong and kitchen facilities were easy to use and well organized. Esteban's pre-visit communications were friendly, helpful and efficient and the transfer to and from the airport was prompt and delightful, not to mention generous, convenient and extremely reasonable. I had a wonderful and relaxed overnight stay and would highly recommend Alice Y Juancito as an ideal place to stay for a layover or short stay near San José airport!
