How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The beds are horrible. We had to ask them to replace one of the mattresses. The one they bought was better, but still super old. Drinks at the pool are super expensive.
The pool was nice and warm. Breakfast was included and was good. We seen two macaws in the trees by the pool.

Pool was freezing (nature's fault)
Afternoon and evening food were good, breakfast was okay. Bar and dinner staff were wonderful. Hotel was actually nicer than we expected for the rate charged. I was so happy you accepted pets!

The room was a little "old". The mirror in the bathroom had stains, not because it was poorly cleaned, but because it's an "old mirror". The shower doors were difficult -almost impossible- to move, they didn't slide anymore (old). The sheets were a little worn (old) it ripped at the feet when I shifted during sleep just because it was so thin (worn), the towels were nice and new though.
Nice restaurant, it's Mexican-themed but the pizza was great, private parking -roofed-, nice pool, spacious room, the A/C worked just fine, hot water, and fair priced. The location is convenient, as I'm there for work, so it's easy access to get in and out, and to the beach and other locations nearby.

Can’t think of a thing I disliked.
The property is spacious with a large pool and clean. Our room was nice with frigid and coffeemaker and the AC worked good. Free breakfast that was tasty and sufficient.

The shower door couldn't be closed properly, leasing to a flooding of the bathroom floor. Additionally, the Wi-Fi speed and connectivity was not adequate for proper use.
There were plenty amenities at the resort. We booked a suite with quite a lot of space, utilities and a reasonable rate. The ability to access the property, for a few hours after check-out was also a great add-on.

The A/C was not as cold as it should. There was some maintenance work being done around 11:00 am, as we were getting ready to leave, and there was no water. We had to leave without being able to take a shower. This should be informed to guests, and if possible, done after check-out time.
Nice facilities, nice, big pool. Breakfast was delicious!

Was a bit dated, the shower & toilet were broke when we checked in so has to move rooms - staff helped us. The new room was clean but the shower cubicle, mirror & fridge weren’t the best condition - needed updating. Could have done with more Sun loungers and maybe some umberella for shade.
Free parking, close to the Main Street, staff were helpful & friendly, restaurant was good.

Loud toilet, cheap soft beds, door doesn’t properly lock, noisy neighbors, slow slow slow breakfast
This property is full of surprises. The toilet flushing makes a noise that you’ve never heard before nor has anyone else on your floor. The beds are soft and hard to get out of. You can hear noise from other peoples rooms right next to you and down the hall. This is basically a very rundown property that serves middle-class tourist pretty well. There are tons of children at the pool tons of people at breakfast, which takes forever to be served since they cook everything individually. Don’t be in a hurry to eat breakfast.

Showers could use a little maintenance, rusty metal. The TV was too small and the remote didn’t work properly. Breakfast was great the first day, it was cold on the second day

The music is super loud and doesn’t stop until 8 or 9. Be aware if you need to go to bed early. Also not the closest to the beach. If you plan to spend lots of time at the beach, opt for something closer.
Excellent breakfast and the pool area is nice. Lots of local folks at the hotel.

The bathroom fittings and room locks are outdated. The pool was dirty on day 2 and wasn't cleaned the whole day.

The Internet disappeared every 10 minutes, to connect again, you had to enter the code that was given at the reception upon check in. Also, the Internet was limited by GB.
I liked the location of the hotel, just 10 minutes on foot and 3 minutes by car from the ocean. Clean area and friendly staff. The room was clean and with everything you needed. The hotel is not new, but meets the price.

We didn't like the breakfast so much. It was not seasoned well and tasted more like reheated than fresh. Also we didn't appreciate that they mowed the lawn on Friday morning which was very noisy. I am sure there'd be a better time for that.
The room was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice. The location is good. It's close to the beach and there are a lot of restaurants close by. The rooms are spacious, the bed was really comfortable. Also, there's a mini fridge in the room which we appreciated.
