The bar nearby and their long and loud parties, getting a good night sleep was very hard.

The AC was a life saver for sure!! The kitchen is basic yet well equipped and the rooms have great space distribution.

A little kitchen noise below the room at night. The restaurant was a little pricey but at the same time it’s definitely worth it for one night because your table is right on the beach next to the shore.

The towels I got smelled of body odor and were old and stained. The initial sheets had hair all over them and the second pair I got were clean but stained. The sponge in the kitchen was moldy and the dishes were dirty.

The location is excellent. You can easily access the beach and a trail that goes through the woods along the beach. It was great to have access to a small kitchen. It’s centrally located in Puerto Viejo.

All good except no way to get more than hip level into water wearing water shoes. Surf is pretty strong.

Loved the friendliness & helpfulness, in hotel right on the beach! Our cooking area was open air and pretty "rustic" Ignition system lights gas when bottle is open. Restaurant downstairs serms to have $20-30 meals. Cant really swim here due to rocky beach. The Negro beach (black sand) seemed to have swimmers.

Restaurant was expensive. There was a day when all the hotel was closed meaning that no one cleaned the room and no one at reception.

Beds were comfortable with enough space for 4 people including a small balcony. It was great that it included an AC and fridge. We had a problem with the toilet but the staff immediately solved it. Location was perfectly on the beach too with a bakery round the corner. Would recommend this.

The pictures of the signs at the front aren't accurate anymore but it was still ok to find the place using google maps. There can be some noise from the restaurants / bars below, but this stopped early enough each night so was not a major issue for us.

The room was very spacious and had a mini fridge which was great. There was a communal kitchen area with cooking things and basic pantry items for use so we could make our own breakfast. The view out over the restaurant to the beach was beautiful and we loved the pink decor. We had an incredible encounter with a sloth right on the beach at the restaurant attached to the accomodation.

the only issue was that they didn’t clean our room everyday. they cleaned it every second, or even third day, which got a bit uncomfortable with all the sand from the beach

it was great staying at Amimodo beach rooms! the staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was spacious and pleasant. there was a terrace overlooking the ocean and there is a really good restaurant as well.

No AC so room can get very stuffy, especially when the sun is coming through. Our room was facing the street so you can hear everything.

Belen from front desk was very welcoming and friendly. Room clean and hot water worked perfectly. Cant beat the locations. Breakfast was great as well. The room is good for a one night stay.
