How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewOur stay at Wunderlust Container Hotel was absolutely magical. My beloved and I nicknamed it our “romantic container ship” — beautifully remodeled containers with cozy lighting, refreshing AC, a gorgeous porch, and just steps from the beach and amazing surf. The hospitality was top-notch — super responsive and thoughtful, with unbeatable prices. We felt so taken care of and can’t wait to return! And as foodies, the restaurant right across the street blew us away — it’s officially our favorite in the world. We recommend staying here and having breakfast, lunch, and dinner right there. Highly recommend this gem for a unique, romantic, and soul-nourishing getaway.

Verified reviewNothing. FALSE ADVERTISING! STAY AWAY. Way overpriced for these facilities and location. These are the things they falsely advertised: • Streaming services-Which you can't use unless you have your own account for those streaming services. • A dining area- It is a tiny table- which, because there are only 2 small shelves, I had to put my belongings on. • A patio with an outdoor dining area and quiet street views is offered in every unit. Please see photos-My "patio" was inside the building, it had a tiny table and was very dark. There were NO street views. It was inside. • The "quiet street" -dogs barking from the parking lot next door all night. • Guests at the apartment can make the "most of the garden "-What garden? the 2 potted plants in the parking lot? See photos. • Down the street from the beach-Yes, true-BUT the beach had beer can & litter, someone's underwear and people getting drunk during the day. The beach is dirty, and low class people on the beach and in town-I saw a hooker in the middle of the day.
• MOLD IN THE ROOM! • This place is a dump. When I was shown my room, there was an open bottle of water in the fridge and 2 brown bananas. The woman quickly took them out. • I had to fight with the owner for a refund- he would refund me for only 2 nights out of the 7 that I stayed. It has been over a month, and I still have not received any refund. • DON'T TRUST THE OWNER IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
I hope your son was recovered form Covid. I understood everything was a chaos and you had to run away from the apartment. Thanks God you had the reimbursment.

Verified reviewThe location was great. Just a few meters from the beach. It's also a good location to make a trip to the crocodile bridge. The Check-in was really straight forward. The bathroom and the small kitchen was clean and from the balcony we saw some parrots passing by.
The bed linens were really stained.

We didn't know the room was a container. There is no window in the room which causes a lack of ventilation, a bad smell and honestly you don't want to cook in a closed space where all the steam and smell stays.. The parking lot itself is small and not really suitable for more than three cars, barely. Another personal point, there is really no one working there.. There is the woman who is responsible for cleaning and most of the conversation and explanation took place with her. However, she only speaks Spanish and we don't at all. Personally, I was annoyed to meet the hotel manager only once, when he asked me to move the car in the parking lot.
I am surprised how you didn't know the rooms are containers, if it is clearly decribed in the information and pictures The room has a big window and a big openable door. You really did't see it? The parking is suitable for 5 cars, as mentioned in the description of the place. Also there is an automatic message telling the guest to take this into account so other cars can get into the property. If you leave the car in the middle of the parking is obvious that you will require to move it. No one working there or just the cleaning lady? Was any request not covered? Most of the cleaning personnel just speaks Spanish. Did you need the hotel manager for some other reason not covered?
